I love how you just casually included the iFixit channel.

It’s true though. They’ve got teardowns for just about every major mobile device, and then some. As for their store, I bought the screen I’m typing this on from them. The shipping could be better, at least in my experience, but the products are definitely high quality.

Yes but I then forget to throw them out so I end up wearing them until they literally become unusable.

IDK if it’s calluses or what but my heels will wear through damn near anything in a pretty short time. Noticed a small hole in a sock once and by the end of the day the entire heel had worn through. Once wore through the heels of a $40 pair of sandals in just a couple months. I didn’t have any money at the time to replace them, so I just covered the worn area with duct tape. That lasted less than a week.

I’d love to see Ted Cruz and Ron DeSantis duke it out.

DeSantis actually scares me, he doesn’t give me the deranged lunatic vibes other Republicans have. He gives me the vibes of someone who wants power, and knows how to manipulate the people around him to get it. When I found out he was running for president I was actually a little scared because I thought he had a shot. I’m glad I was wrong in that respect. Let’s keep it that way, and avoid someone like that taking an elected seat.

TL;DR DeSantis gives me Hitler vibes.

Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, and Mark Hamill did an amazing job with their roles, in spite of the script they were given.

They alluded to it, showing the vats of snoke-esque body parts, as well as the classic “unnatural” line, but they never outright explain it. Basically, unless you’re a hardcore fan who can pick up on the hints, I think you’d have a hard time understanding how he came back. Hence the criticism of the “Somehow” statement. Personally, I just think it is a bad line. It highlights that if the writers really wanted to bring Palpatine back, they would have needed to build up to it throughout the trilogy. By just saying “somehow”, the skip over what could have been a captivating mystery, had they had the time to make it. That, in my opinion, is the biggest flaw of the sequels. The lack of direction with no ending in mind. In my opinion, a good plot twist has clues that build up to the big reveal. That is mostly nonexistent here, as it’s clear Abrams vision in mind when making The Force Awakens. He just wanted to say he made a star wars movie, then move on with his career.

IDK if it’s that or just the fact that there’s both a lot of us and a great sense of nationalism instilled in us from a very young age. I’ve been to Mt. Rushmore twice. Only recently did I learn about how it was a sacred site to the native people that we promised to leave alone, before stealing it and blowing it to hell.

What I’m getting at is that we’re taught that America is the greatest nation on the planet, and we’re encouraged to be loud about that statement. So when a certain group of people in the government who are also very loud about their beliefs start saying some things that might sound completely bonkers to a foreigner, a lot of people find themselves agreeing purely because they like the attitude of the people talking.
