Came to the comments looking for a reference to Jared in that self driving car and getting sailed out into the ocean. I’ll take it

LifeInMultipleChoice,

I have seen their ice cream machines start working more and more frequently. It appears there is a direct correlation between which locations pay more and which locations have ice cream. (Investigation ongoing)

Most of what I always knew from employees was it was something that was a pain to clean so they would want to start early (preclose) to make sure they could get out quicker. Then eventually some would close it earlier and if sales were low on ice cream they would lie and say it was broken so they wouldn’t have to use it all.

This article discusses similar when I just tried to look up and see if I could find more info on whether it was a DMCA issue or a combination. thedailymeal.com/…/its-likely-that-your-mcdonalds…

If you go by house colors, they are Hufflepuff. Milwaukee is Gryfindor. Ravenclaw is Makita and Slytherin is Ryobi

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Ending support for Windows 10 could send 240 million computers to the landfill. Why not install Linux on them? (gadgettendency.com)

With support ending for Windows 10, the most popular desktop operating system in the world currently, possibly 240 million pcs may be sent to the landfill. This is mostly due to Windows 11’s exorbitant requirements. This will most likely result in many pcs being immediately outdated, and prone to viruses. GNU/Linux may be...

LifeInMultipleChoice,

State governments usually are required to place all of their computers up for sale through surplus. (Hard drives usually removed and destroyed). I have been through that process at a State College and a University. They aren’t just thrown away. I imagine there is a similar process for federal computer.

What is Something Scientific that you just don't believe in at all?

EDIT: Let’s cool it with the downvotes, dudes. We’re not out to cut funding to your black hole detection chamber or revoke the degrees of chiropractors just because a couple of us don’t believe in it, okay? Chill out, participate with the prompt and continue with having a nice day. I’m sure almost everybody has something...

LifeInMultipleChoice,

A lot of people not wanting to disassociate the term believe from relgion here. I believe the sun will rise tomorrow. I also believe the sun doesn’t rise. Neither have to do with a religious belief system for me.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Yet breast milk isn’t always better is it? I for one would advise against a mother with TB(or any other transferable disease/cancer) to breastfeed her child.

Most of the time breast feeding is better for the child, but science shows us that absolutes are usually bad.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Yeah, why would it take 2 minutes for the pipes to clear between the hot water heater and the shower. Does he live in a 250x1 yard/meter house? Hot water heater on one side and shower on the other?

LifeInMultipleChoice,

" or the math is so simple that you really don’t need a calculator." That was the math they were trying to get you to remember and know how to figure out.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Believe Napoleon was the one quoted for An army marches on its stomach.

It isn’t all about calories but also morale as they knew then.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

I think they were just pointing out that isn’t a U turn. They called it a Y turn, many people I know would call it a 3 point turn. They were being pedantic for comic relief but it didn’t go over as well as expected.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Does it engine brake or I suppose it could use modern style brakes had they been around.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

The state that just voted to legalize recreational weed and to make abortion rights legal? Sure there is propaganda but we need to recognize states for their good choices and not just hate on every state all the time

The third is always the scariest.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

I saw a discussion the other day that may have been part of it. They were pointing out that many users when first joining lemmy created accounts on multiple instances. Whether they needed to find a community they preferred or do to ddos attacks and other issues causing outages a lot of those accounts have likely become inactive more as time went by. So the numbers may not be decreasing so much as been inflated by individuals coming up as multiple active users early on. I haven’t looked into how they are verifying what users are active though, so it could be wrong. If someone knows more please respond.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Not to mention as much as people don’t want to admit it, there are members of that same party telling the populous said person will be charged with a felony and will be going to prison. It looks like a shit show because everything takes so long in a legal system that wants to set a precedent in a way that it won’t have loop holes.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

The amazing part is that both vehicles in this picture get the same gas mileage!

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Reminds me of the signs they used to have in Seminole County by railroads (could have been elsewhere as well)

“Big train, little car, are you passed the stop bar?”

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Maybe not, could make protective covers with insulation. Might help until you cool it down. Lava is between 700 to 1200 celcius. Platinum doesn’t melt until over 1700 celcius. So maybe a layer of insulation inside a thin layer of platinum, then poor some water on it if you get splashed.

LifeInMultipleChoice,

That’s what i thought was coming

LifeInMultipleChoice,

Why would killing be unnatural to humans. Even in the nomadic lifestyles we hunted for food.
