The state that just voted to legalize recreational weed and to make abortion rights legal? Sure there is propaganda but we need to recognize states for their good choices and not just hate on every state all the time
I have seen their ice cream machines start working more and more frequently. It appears there is a direct correlation between which locations pay more and which locations have ice cream. (Investigation ongoing)
Most of what I always knew from employees was it was something that was a pain to clean so they would want to start early (preclose) to make sure they could get out quicker. Then eventually some would close it earlier and if sales were low on ice cream they would lie and say it was broken so they wouldn’t have to use it all.
With support ending for Windows 10, the most popular desktop operating system in the world currently, possibly 240 million pcs may be sent to the landfill. This is mostly due to Windows 11’s exorbitant requirements. This will most likely result in many pcs being immediately outdated, and prone to viruses. GNU/Linux may be...
State governments usually are required to place all of their computers up for sale through surplus. (Hard drives usually removed and destroyed). I have been through that process at a State College and a University. They aren’t just thrown away. I imagine there is a similar process for federal computer.
If the computer was purchased in 2016 the license key is likely tied to the motherboard from the factory, so unless you swap the board, the original key may pull on its own.
Yeah, when access to raspberry pi’s and such was none existant I knew a few people who would pick up old Optiplex computers and such to use as media servers and such. Old dells used to be very reliable. Throw whatever distro on there gui or not, and the shitty graphics cards wouldn’t matter much
Had a 10mm deep socket the other day with a 1/4" socket size. Couldn’t find a 3/8", so I found an old adapter and when loosening the 5th bolt on my intake manifold, got the old “hmm… that shit is moving to free to fast”
Thankfully a small screwdriver could poke the 1/4" adapter piece stuck in the socket out, so I can live to make the same mistake another day.
I wonder if there would be a way to draw that up. A healthcare system paid for by the states that participate and distributed federally. Treatment only for those from states that participate. Thus still pitting the government against the pharmaceutical companies in terms of fair prices and pushes states to ideally make their own choices which would slowly move towards more and more states choosing to support their people. We would have to be dicks and deny medical attention to people coming from other states. I’m sure there are a million holes to work out, but no one should have any reason to argue with it outside “I don’t want others to get help if I can’t.”

A lot of people not wanting to disassociate the term believe from relgion here. I believe the sun will rise tomorrow. I also believe the sun doesn’t rise. Neither have to do with a religious belief system for me.
Yet breast milk isn’t always better is it? I for one would advise against a mother with TB(or any other transferable disease/cancer) to breastfeed her child.
Most of the time breast feeding is better for the child, but science shows us that absolutes are usually bad.
Yeah, why would it take 2 minutes for the pipes to clear between the hot water heater and the shower. Does he live in a 250x1 yard/meter house? Hot water heater on one side and shower on the other?
" or the math is so simple that you really don’t need a calculator." That was the math they were trying to get you to remember and know how to figure out.
I think they were just pointing out that isn’t a U turn. They called it a Y turn, many people I know would call it a 3 point turn. They were being pedantic for comic relief but it didn’t go over as well as expected.
