MNByChoice,

Great advertising though. Everyone that reads the letters will learn their names.

MNByChoice,

Please do. I really like this chart and expect a lot more coming soon.

And no, I don’t expect to get any actual data from the chart at all.

MNByChoice,

Can this be gamed for massive overtime?

Also, that sucks and seems borderline illegal. Obviously, that depends on your local laws and socioeconomic status.

Alright, I'm gonna "take one for the team" -- what is with the "downvote-happy" users lately?

Title. “lmao internet points” and all, but what is the point of participating in a community that sees assumptions and other commonly non-harmful commentaries/posts as “bad” this easily? Do folks in here are really that needy of self-validation, even if it means seeking such from something completely insignificant like...

MNByChoice,

True.

A case can be made for a large number of buttons. I wonder if the extra complications of multiple buttons would have a good payoff.

MNByChoice,

Thank you! That is a well done song.

For those wondering, the supposed timeline is a single night. I tend to agree with Spock.

MNByChoice,

The espresso machine next to the drip coffee maker also has issues.

Just seeing a peaceful, still, photograph. Looks nice.

Haven’t spotted a raccoon. Must be in the trees…

Edit: I have learned that host does not do moving pictures in my browser.

US anti-armor grenade packed inside a foam football, 1973 (lemmy.world)

“Since a regulation-size football weighs 14 ounces, it was considered feasible to make a shaped charge grenade within this weight limitation. In addition, most US troops are familiar with throwing footballs,” according to the Army’s test report for the weapon....

MNByChoice,

Do you feel comfortable getting within throwing distance of a vehicle with at least one machinegun

Too be fair, troops likely had the misfortune of being that close once. At which point having a possible tool for survival is better than none.

MNByChoice,

Warm potato salad is great.

spoilerjust make sure it is warm due to being fresh and the potatoes are still hot, and not warm due to the sun. ___

MNByChoice,

Didn’t the use to put the astronauts into quarantine for a few days prior to launch. It avoids hangovers and the flu, in space.

MNByChoice,

Sorry is AptGet something other than Debian’s “apt get”?

MNByChoice,

Why are you guys doing default installs? Setup you preseeds and get what you want.

MNByChoice,

Thank you

MNByChoice,

Great point. IBM has a long history of squeezing every penny from their customers. At one corner job, IBM had to come onsite a few times a year to perform system updates. We were not allowed by IBM to upgrade the OS ourselves.

MNByChoice,

Sadly, message does not list a dollar amount. Replies are great though. Lots of pointing out the listed items are small compared to corporation size.

MNByChoice,

Cool. I have seen wild turkeys do this and in a crosswalk. It is really cool.

I have not seen them using the button to request the “walking man” yet.

MNByChoice,

A good number of people assume retail workers choose to be there and are getting overtime.

Clearly untrue for most.

MNByChoice,

And for those wondering about the manga, here is the Wikipedia entry.

MNByChoice,

I am not OP, but this is a great time to remind people that debris from a mower can be very dangerous. Wear steel toe boots and long jeans. Don’t let children play near a mower.

OTOH, marketing materials rarely show PPE.

MNByChoice,

That is a great i idea.

MNByChoice,

I have heard that part of the point is so that parents cannot understand the conversation. It is not a side effect, it is the point.

MNByChoice, (edited )

That is a hard 49, especially for a billionaire.

MNByChoice,

They gave Prince Wednesday his own spinoff? Wild.
