I researched this stuff a LOT. I originally only knew about anonaddy but it’s a pain to set up self hosted. There’s a lot of options but I really like the proton setup: proton pass + proton mail. Lets you respond to emails from the fake email created very easily.
My flow is like this: some website asks for my email, proton pass extension suggests a fake email using domain.hash@passinbox.com for example: shoppingwebsite.1c8sn@passinbox.com
I think it’s the best of all worlds and it’s why I switched from bitwarden as the flow is way faster and easier to use. And it’s a cinch to respond to emails from proton mail.
the pci slot would be able to be used for external storage, like connecting to a nas or das. serve the home found you can add one of these though I don’t think they tested that it can hit the max theoretical throughput of 96gbps.
I use 10g between my main pc and my nas. It’s amazing. I use nvmes for triple a, intensive type games, and almost everything else gets installed on the nas. There’s great use cases for 10g.
Also for media creation, using my main pc and nvme as a staging area and moving finished work and archived projects to my NAS is really helped along by the 10g connection I have. Easily saturates it with 6x7200rpm exos drives.
Hmm that’s a good point. Though I think it shouldn’t be too bad unless under heavy load all the time. I think the CPU is made for laptops. That said it’d definitely have to be doing more than just working as an opnsense box
I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction or just tell me if I’m being foolish here. I’m aware of the YouTube slime tutorials, but I was wondering if there’s a level deeper than slime tutorials for the real good slime content.
I need some books paywalled behind Oxford Politics Trove and they aren’t on Anna’s lib, Zlib, Libgen, Memory of the World, Aaarg, or the Internet Archive. Not sure to whom else to turn to. I hate that knowledge like this is paywalled, and I highly doubt the authors will be paid if I pay the highway robbery of a price.
I think any official integration wouldn’t be smart. Working on interoperability and a plugin to link them that way would be far smarter. This guy likes decentralization but wants to combine two very different concepts and products lol. I get it though and I love that idea. The other thread also mentions open library which is a legal version of what op posted
This isn’t Linux, but Linux-like. Its a microkernel built from the rust programming language. Its still experimental, but I think it has great potential. It has a GUI desktop, but the compiler isn’t quite fully working yet....
I know the evangelists can be somewhat overwhelming, but its popularity is not unwarranted. It’s fairly easy to pick up, has an incredibly enthusiastic and welcoming community. People like it because it’s incredibly performant, and its memory safe. In terms of DX it’s really a joy to work with. It just has a LOT going for it, and the main drawback you’ll hear about (difficulty) is really overblown and most devs can pick it up in a matter of months.
I just tried it out and it’s purely cosmetic - basically just puts your bookmarks bar to the left hand side, but it’s not like rambox or opera or floorp. It just opens a new tab

Where do you find large collections of hi res art? Old masterpieces and more modern pieces? Extra points if I can find stashes of hi res versions of NFTs that other people were silly enough to buy.
Google Cultural Institute is just plain awesome. SUPER high res photos that let you zoom in to your heart’s content. Right now in the front page you can color in hokusai’s great wave. You can explore lots of famous museums using google street view. It’s really incredible and totally free.
If you want to bulk save high res artwork of artists, not sure tbh. I’m certain there’s a way to download the high res images on GCI though
artsandculture.google.com/asset/…/rQEx7CtGiKE3yghere’s a good example. You can zoom way in and see the impasto brushstrokes and even the canvas behind it. What’s weird is that this version seems way darker than any other pictures you may find online. Not sure what’s up with that as it appears they took great care to make the photo
Yesterday there was a controversial movie torrent that was getting 1000s of downloads and was on the “popular this week” page, and today it’s just gone. I went to the uploader’s account page and it’s not there either. Just like it never existed....
I love my sonarr and radarr setup. But readarr seems to not be working so well. Is there a guide on how to get it to be more reliable in grabbing books? And while I am at it, how do I manage audio AND ebooks?
Automation for books is kinda weird. It’s not like a TV Series where new episodes come out every week. I wanted to like readarr but I don’t see the utility. Anna’s Archive and IRC are your best options.
