Omega_Haxors,

In Canada they don’t have a “no tip” option any more, instead you have to click $ or % and put in 0. So what I do is I type in 0000 so they hear four inputs and think they’re getting at least 10$ even though i’m not tipping at all.

Omega_Haxors,

We have a housing crisis and their solution is to build more rental properties. Yes, most of our ruling class are landlords, how could you tell??

Omega_Haxors, (edited )

Holy shit, downvoted it, they weren’t being ironic about tipping their landlord 😳

Omega_Haxors,

“This isn’t funny”

“ROFL ITS A JOKE”

Omega_Haxors,

Remember: the Salvation Army funds homophobic genocide

I actually got a grant from a local animal shelter and I was planning on giving back… until I checked my email to see if I got any clients and found out that they’ve been sending astronomical amounts of spam there (I definitely never consented to that, it was my professional email) and quickly reconsidered. Same reason i’m never donating to wikipedia ever again. I didn’t give you my email so you could slam it with commercials… Hope that quarter of a penny you got was worth it, assholes, because once i’m done cleaning up you’re never seeing another cent from me ever again. Donated to antifa once, got a single email saying “Remember that cause you donated for? We won.”

I use that as a litmus test. I now have a “spam” email and donate small amounts. If they spam that email, I won’t donate again.

Talk is cheap, any nazi can say they’re good guys now while continuing their evil actions. Just look at every billionaire. PR carries continents.

I’m starting to see why women would get so wet when I responded with “IDK why I do, I just do” if this is the standard.

Omega_Haxors, (edited )

No, the fact you watch a sex offender cryptofash and think that makes you a communist. We see what you are.

Omega_Haxors,
Omega_Haxors,

America is a white supremacist nation, if you click that option you won’t be able to get your flight. In any civilized nation such an option would be illegal (as it’s not their fucking business) but because they’re a shithole country with no oversight, they get to fuck people over their views.

Omega_Haxors,

What are you talking about, everything on the internet is real. It’s not like anyone is going to go outside to check.

Google Researchers’ Attack Prompts ChatGPT to Reveal Its Training Data (www.404media.co)

ChatGPT is full of sensitive private information and spits out verbatim text from CNN, Goodreads, WordPress blogs, fandom wikis, Terms of Service agreements, Stack Overflow source code, Wikipedia pages, news blogs, random internet comments, and much more....

AI really did that thing where you repeat a word so often that it loses meaning and the rest of the world eventually starts to turn to mush.

Jokes aside, I think I know why it does this: Because by giving it a STUPIDLY easy prompt it can rack up huge amounts of reward function, once you accumulate enough it no longer becomes bound by it and it will simply act in whatever the easiest action to continue gaining points is: in this case, it’s reading its training data rather than doing the usual “machine learning” obfuscating that it normally does. Maybe this is a result of repeating a word over and over giving an exponentially rising score until it eventually hits +INF, effectively disabling it? Seems a little contrived but it’s an avenue worth investigating.

My question is would a human author be any different?

Humans don’t remember the exact source material, it gets abstracted into concepts before being saved as an engram. This is how we’re able to create new works of art while AI is only able to do photoshop on its training data. Humans will forget the text but remember the soul, AI only has access to the exact work and cannot replicate the soul of a work (at least with its current implementation, if these systems were made to be anything more than glorified IP theft we could see systems that could actually do art like humans, but we don’t live in that world)

When you actually look at what it was not through the lens of cold war propaganda it does seem like a pretty nice place. Not to say the place was perfect but for what it was they did a really good job with what they had.

EDIT: and Russia just voted to classify homosexuality as “extremism” a perfect example of just how much going capitalist has fucked them up.

Of course it’s feddit de. We need instance blocking but for comments.

The USSR was amazing to live under, especially when you compare it to what it has become after the fact. People forget that Tsarist Russia was a cosmological shithole where your only joy was taking to the vodka. It’s easy to compare a fledgling nation that not even a decade ago was living in absolute squalor with one that just came off the heels of a massive genocide where they took everything for themselves and say one is better than the other, but if you put the two on even footing it’s not even a question which one you’d rather live under.

In fact, you’re going to see that as America starts to fall behind after their colossal head start that even you yourself are going to wish things were done differently, because as fun as eating your own shit is because you can’t get food (yes, this actually happened) that’s no way to live.

People’s Republic of Walmart, a very good book which goes into detail about how successful corporations use communist-styled organization and how we could have that for ourselves if we all decided to stop funneling all our hard worked dollars up billionaire noses.

Omega_Haxors, (edited )

Afraid to say this but that college course was capitalist propaganda. When you look at the actual facts it points to capitalism being trash in every metric except cancer-like growth for the sake of cancer-like growth, which of course it’s good at because that’s what it was designed for.

Yesterday an American accidentally admitted that they tip their landlord. It was at that point I said to myself “man you fuckers deserve to suffer under whatever republican you end up voting for next election because we all know that’s what you dumb ass motherfuckers are going to do”

Where I live they have semi-privatized utilities and it’s funny because unlike the fully private company they’ll actually do their job, but then they’ll make record profits and their directors will spend it all doing lines of coke. It’s most noticeable when you compare the lines of the private company to the semi-private one, and one will be overgrown and decrepit while the other will be completely spotless.

We also have a fully public utility and you wouldn’t even notice because the prices are dirt cheap and the infrastructure is taken care of. The only difference between public and private ownership is how much of your money goes into maintenance instead of up the board’s nose.
