Just like neighborhoods in real life, you have to find a neighborhood you like. I wish it was more explained when you first sign up, but it does matter what instance you make your home. That instance decides what’s on your front page and the tone of your stay on Lemmy. Lemmy.ml is not a good fit for you it seems like, so try another neighborhood (or instance).
It didn’t feel like they were stable and would take care of us though, the nuclear drills sure didn’t help. Also, I know a lot of army vets that weren’t drafted but went to school with the army bill. There are people out there that still know that war sucks. Also, the kids now have school shooting drills, they kind of live with the potential of war and some have seen it. There does seem to be an incredible breakdown with the money in politics, no shame and we’re extremely close to having a dictator after they attempted a coup, I’ll give you that.
I am super sick right now and haven’t eaten much in a few days. It’s getting to the point where I am gonna need to force myself to eat something to keep my strength up but everything just sounds terrible to me right now. I have been subsisting mostly on small glasses of milk and the occasional packet of instant oatmeal....
Lmao, it’s a thing. It’s probably because it raises your histamine levels, but it’s still a thing. You’re one of those that thinks because you don’t have it, nobody does.
If you suffer from allergic or any kind of reactions to MSG, watch for those in the ingredients. I’m not sure about soylent, but pediasure and boost definitely have it in it.

I agree with InfiniteGlitch, this conflict has been going on for centuries, arguably millennia. IMO, at its core, it’s land rights with religion piled on top. Depending on who you talk to, both sides have plenty of reason to hate each other (doesn’t make it lead to any good) because of what their forefathers have done up to present day atrocities. Ultimately, it has come down to reactionary hate over land rights, freedom, fear and safety. I find it helpful to read the facts of what is happening from a distance and take the emotion out of it. When you do that, I’m not sure how this conflict will end. There is so much retaliation. The prisoner thing has me understanding why they’re going overboard. The backlash from Israel makes sense if you think you’re justified in keeping everyone in an open air prison. I hope they all find peace, but I don’t see how that can happen when everyone is raised in that environment of hate & vengeance. Basically, read everything you can on it and take the facts from each. Everyone will spin it to their opinion.
So, you agree, since the destruction of the first temple, there has been some issues that have cropped up. Should I say 2nd temple then? I feel like you’re an archaeology student/pro that is getting lost in the weeds. It’s still millennia. (Or maybe 50 years short, if you’re going to be technical. I bet you’re going to be).
Also, stop editing everything, it’s a pain in the ass. That area has been in conflict over one of the religions since at least 70 CE.
The Romans destroyed it 70CE. ~600 years between major sacks of your city shows it’s not that important.
Right, not important enough to build an arc de triumph, oh wait…
Last comment, you still haven’t talked about the Waq, I wonder why.
Technically, Northern Ireland and Ireland share a border, just saying. Also, Ireland is more apt since they share the same religion, one came after the other, they both think they’re right and it’s a total, lengthy, shitshow.
I guess I’m biased, I have a lot of boomer relatives and parents of friends that are still working in tech. In my world, it’s a lot of them.
No, a very tiny number of them were.
The following might be true, I also know a lot of younger people in every generation that don’t know tech. I mean most humans don’t want to know that stuff unless they have to. Maybe that’s confirming that Gen x and Millennials had to know.
Gen Z grew up with tech just basically works, and hides all the complicated stuff behind 17 submenus and automatic installs. I know plenty of gen Z who literally don’t know what a file path is.
I don’t think you know your generations, the boomers were the creators of the internet and tech but didn’t know that had it so good and think everyone else does. Their parents were the ones that didn’t get tech so much. The gen x just goes along with everyone because they’ve never had any power and probably never will, they’re being skipped. Millennials are gen x extreme but have more numbers, and gen z is fucked. This isn’t a generational thing but a power and status thing. The people who have power and money have been fucking over the ones that don’t since this country began.
They didn’t skip it, the enlightenment was a continuation of what they came up with. I’m pretty sure they didn’t deny the earth is round and the sun is the center of our galaxy.
Hmmm, the minions probably did think the earth was flat since that’s what the church told them. Definitely, most of the thinkers of that time knew it wasn’t and were told to keep it hush hush or there would be harsh punishment. It’s not a one size fits all kind of thing, and just like everything else, it’s complicated.
Now you’ve got me curious, what do you think they didn’t continue? The art wasn’t the same, is that it? We should be very thankful they saved a lot of knowledge that could have been lost.
I think hitting them with a purse, throwing eggs and making them hide in toilets is fine, but the unconscious thing isn’t something I would recommend. They probably already have brain damage, they’re nazis.
Runesson’s photograph was published the next day on the front page of the Swedish national newspaper Dagens Nyheter, and on April 15 by two British newspapers, The Times and The Daily Express.[3] Another photograph taken by Runesson during the event shows the 10 Neo-Nazis being chased, pelted with eggs and violently confronted by a crowd made up of hundreds of attendants of the left-wing rally joined by local Växjö residents. One of the Neo-Nazis was kicked unconscious on the ground, then saved by one of the protestors who reportedly took pity on him. The far-right activists eventually managed to shelter in the toilets of the city’s train station, hiding there for a few hours until the police transported them away.[3][5]
