Yeah I had one and the battery life was not great, so you could not use it in all of those places unless you were rich and had an endless supply of AA batteries. I had the original B&W Gameboy and the added magnifier / light combo that took even more batteries.
It was good for a couple hours on one set of 4 AA batteries if I recall correctly. We did have rechargables back then but they were Ni-Cad and they sucked, took forever to recharge.
Businesses in the USA, especially regions with a higher proportion of black or hispanic residents, will go out of business if they stop accepting cash. It’s not going to happen.
They can hang out anywhere they want actually. We didn’t have any kid hangout places back in the 90s and we biked and skateboarded all over town. We hung out with friends in parking lots and stores, wherever we wanted to basically.

Without cash, you can’t have privacy. All card or contactless payments are logged and probably sold to advertisers or anyone with enough cash who wants that info.
I’ve never had to pay a fee to withdraw cash from an ATM in the USA, unless it was from a different bank than mine. Other banks charge for the convenience of taking your money from their ATM, when you don’t have an account with their bank or affiliate.
It’s easy to avoid those fees by just going to your own bank’s ATM.

There are also great coolers that come on stock cards, you just have to pick one that isn’t shitty. No temp issues with my EVGA or Gigabyte cards that have huge heatsinks and 3 big fans on them.

Yep I saw some Indians near Atlanta who were wearing big coats when it was just a hair below 70 F outdoors. I was out there loading stuff into my car in shorts and a T-shirt and they looked at me funny.
The opposite of that, that I also saw was my portly Eskimo friend, who was in shorts and a T-shirt in the actual winter time when I needed a big coat. He was like “You think this is cold?”
Back in my day, we didn’t have no dang hoverboards, and hoverboards were a thing of the future from 2015 when Marty McFly would fly across the silver screen on his one true hoverboard. I spent the best years of my life working on anti-gravity technology with the hope that I could one day too fly like Marty, on a real hoverboard, but now I just sit in my own graveyard of failed dreams while the kids are zoomin’ around on their wheely-scooters and calling them hoverboard. I don’t go to any of the movies in the theater but I watch a lot of them on my nice big TV at home.
They are a hell of a lot more interesting than the average boring TV show about Cops, Judges, Doctors, and Lawyers. Maybe there should be a superhero that combines all those like Dr Cop Judge, Attorney at Law and Private Investigator for Hire. Judge Dredd wasn’t enough.
