RaoulDook, to asklemmy in Do You Have a Fire Extinguisher in Your Home and is it Still Pressurized?

Yes I have 2 of them.

FYI you should turn over each of your fire extinguishers at least once every 6 months to keep them working right. That means pick it up, rotate it upside-down, and let the stuff inside slide to the top, then turn it back over. I learned this from a fire inspector that I had to guide through a datacenter once.

RaoulDook, to privacy in I deleted all my post from my reddit account, can they still monetize them?

PowerDeleteSuite was a good tool for overwriting your comments and deleting them. Now you need a rate-limited fork of it. It still works, but I don’t have the link handy.

Edit all of your comments and posts to some useless text, then delete them.

RaoulDook, to risa in I hope this ship holds together!

Haha I didn’t think people still retained that ancient knowledge of motoring success. The good ole days of weak 4-cylinder cars and trucks, when you’d disengage the AC to get more power to go up a hill or something. I’ve met several people who didn’t know it was even a thing.

RaoulDook, to memes in An Academy award or Oscar at least.

No, how about an essay is an essay, no matter if you film yourself reading it or not. The content of the message is what is important, not the medium it’s presented in.

RaoulDook, to lemmyshitpost in Headphones are a crutch

This is how I feel about watching videos to learn something versus reading an article or a paper about the subject. I would almost always rather read about it than have to sit and listen to some awful youtuber blab about themself while dancing around the subject I had interest in.

RaoulDook, to asklemmy in How are you all making it right now with grocery store prices?

I haven’t changed my shopping habits, but I definitely notice the ripoffs of significantly higher prices on some of the same food items I’ve been buying for years. Overall it’s still much cheaper to buy groceries and make your own food than the vast majority of restaurants and such.

Fast food prices have gotten more noticeably higher than groceries have in my area. So I assume that most of the people I hear complaining the loudest about “Inflation” are the ones who eat fast food as a staple of their diet.

RaoulDook, to lemmyshitpost in How much for cuddles?

You may be right in general, but none of that is a good excuse for a transactional sex life.

If I wanted to exchange services (labor) for sex, I could simply take the money earned from labor to purchase it from a prostitute. That is not what a marriage should be like.

RaoulDook, to lemmyshitpost in This is too relatable

Same here. Having a car as a teen unlocked all the cool shit for me. Freedom to roam and meet with cool people, going fishing, shooting guns at a sandpit, getting drunk, getting laid, etc. Nobody would believe all the cool shit we did back in the day without pictures haha.

RaoulDook, to baldurs_gate_3 in I am astounded that someone made this...

I guess I’d go with the lady on the 3rd-lightest tone section with the white hair, I don’t need a tight one

RaoulDook, to memes in Flight sim people are on another level

VR headset would be best view but then they couldn’t see all the fancy controls around them.

RaoulDook, to fuck_cars in Thank the gods we live in such a car-saturated nation, how horrible it would be if this space was used to house people

I don’t commute to work often, but when I do it’s only about a 20 minute drive in light traffic. I certainly wouldn’t spend 3 hours a day in a car to commute to work when there are plenty of jobs within that 20 minute commute from my house.

RaoulDook, to lemmyshitpost in If only there was a GOOD fish with a gun to save them!

Jokes on you, a plural amount of them, must be what they mean. Where are the rest of the jokes motherfuckers!?

That’s exactly the kind of thing a chump would say about it

No, I simply do not spend hundreds of hours on any phone app. Social media is not very important to me, and I would always rather use a web browser on one of my nice computers for a superior Internet browsing experience.

RaoulDook, to memes in You're tearing me apart!

Look at how their app captures every keystroke of every user, and you’ll have your answer.
