If you want to be the “cool guy” then macbook is your choice, it will cost more and repair is risky to be done by anyone except apple himself.

If you want to have a laptop, that is easy to repair,upgrade and is cheap but powerfull then Framework laptop.

On macbook you are locked into apple, you cant upgrade, you can only get support by apple and most of the time third party stuff doesnt work right on macbook. On Framework laptop you are more open to do anything, like upgrading, switching OS if windows isnt right for you. Framework is a lot more open and listens to the community.

I moved away from Windows few months ago, and i would recommend linux mint, its easy, stable and beginner friendly. And you can of course Distro Hop to another distro. And with steams proton or wine (almost) every game can be run! For those few that doesnt run good or at all, you can still dual boot windows and linux mint.

For everything? You still shouldnt be running all ports open around. As it would ease the work of hackers getting backdoor access.

Yup, and if some bad software wants to create malicious webserver they can not do it as all the ports that are open are used in a legit way. And thus can not really communicate either one or the other way.

Yes your summary is correct, its just a buzzword.

You can still check if its a real human if you do something really stupid or speak or write giberisch. Almost every AI will try to reply to it or say “Sorry i couldnt understand it” or recent events ( most of the LLMs arent trained on the newest events )
