Samsy, (edited ) to memes in 6÷2(1+2)

I really hate the social media discussion about this. And the comments in the past teached me, there are two different ways of learning math in the world.

Memes aren’t anytime exactly from the op opinion. Sometimes its just something you catch from people talking stuff.

In this case it was my “I’m really fun at parties"-comment that it is so hot in brazil right now.

I was busy and it was in production. Backup was my friend.

Samsy, to memes in Self Defense vs War Crimes

History is written by the winners. And they decide what was a crime and what was self defense.

Jackie Chan: Pearl Harbour

Samsy, to memes in Oh, you are here, too?

Search for botfather.

It creates an API token and in combination with my own telegramID I get notifications from services like uptime-kuma or watchtower.

Samsy, to lemmyshitpost in it always interesting when multi billion dollar company's costing system is a 63 tab excel 97 spreadsheet at it's core...

I saw a presentation in excel once, I want sum it up here, but it was pointless.

Samsy, (edited ) to selfhosted in what if your cloud=provider gets hacked ?

Easy, I always mirror my cloud. My setting is: cloud is extern and in my network there is always the same copy of everything on a simple smb-nas.

  1. My house burns to the ground (or easier, the NAS is broken) = online backup
  2. The online provider got hacked = No problem, I have an backup at home.
  3. The hackers burned my house down at the same time they killed my cloud = Well fuck.

PS. Since the most syncs are going directly to the cloud its just an rclone cronjob every night to backup everything on the NAS.

The problem is, people dig to deep into excel functions, some of them could easily build a database or do some programming (if/else), but they know nothing outside of their ms-office -ecosystem.

Just a hint for ms-office devs, why not a low-code-builder with SQL backend. Just call it squirrel or powersql or something.

Samsy, to asklemmy in Is there a forum for people who are lonely and sad but specifically not incel sickos?

Calling some groups “incel sickos” sounds rude and hateful to me and is best practice for going to be a incel sicko. I don’t want to judge, just a friendly warning.

Against loneliness there are good advices already written. Just an addition: first, be respectful and love to yourself. Second, do the same for others.

A lot of depressed people think, that other people could repair their hearts, but that’s not true. You start by yourself, the rest comes automatic.

And I thought dark-red is the hottest color.

New engines are in test stage, servo, ladybird etc.

Samsy, to linuxmemes in Damn...

To my defence, I didnt know there are old and new. I dont use arch based distros anymore but searching an error, which could be on any distro, there are different kind of Websites which discuss the error. if I could sort them it would look like this:

  1. mailinglists (good described, but you know, you are fucked)
  2. arch wiki
  3. stack overflow
  4. reddit (solution got deleted)
  5. a clickbait guide (you realise your problem was dumb)
  6. arch forum (you read about people dumb like you, getting virtual killed)
  7. manjaro forum (try reinstall)
