This makes alot of sense I’ll imagine the folk using Linux aren’t using it out of choice but out of necessity due to linux being kinder to older hardware

India is a country with a huge population India is also a third world country where people. 1 computer is probably an years wages for most Indians. And alot of linux distros run well on older hardware same goes for eastern europe and africa or so I hear plus engineering is very popular over there as embed put it himself

Agreed I heavily enjoyed still game although I didn’t like the later seasons as much I felt like they were introducing more characters cuz they were running out of things to write about

Also forgot I’m also mentioning the fact that alot of the posts on lemmy are very low quality or very political lemmy is essentially reddit lite or knock off reddit I think something like this can work and have some success but only if it’s done well and well executed currently I don’t think many people would like to move over to lemmy due to the unwelcoming nature of its users

Well that’s interesting I’ve never experienced that before but then again its been awhile since i mained linux just going to say this are you sure you haven’t checked updated and uninstalled drivers and also prehaps checked to see if its a hardware issue maybe worked your way through some troubleshooting guides maybe

I think as louis rossman said in his video its generally for the best although I would like for Rossmans software to be fully open sourced it’s not like he doesn’t have his reasons for not fully open sourcing his software he doesn’t want his software to be modified for illicit gains and used to spread malware on storefronts which I think is a good enough reason for not open sourcing his software although there are probably some better ways of handling this situation

I would like for some instances of lemmy in future to consider adding videos prehaps to save on server costs have the videos set to 480p or 720p max this will add an entirely new layer of content to lemmy prehaps said instances and supplement there income with ads and donations
