It still -kind of- does, it’s just not super intuitive anymore. Open the menu, select the tab, then just start typing your search. The text you type will appear in the text field you were typing in before opening the win+. menu, but as you type it’ll filter the emojis and symbols down to the ones that match your input, and then replace your input when you click one.

Really should just have a search bar. -_-

For those in school:

www.desmos.com/scientific - badass scientific calculator. Desmos has a mobile app as well.

www.madeintext.com/subscript-generator/ - Helpful for typing out shit like: Na₂HPO₄ + H⁺ → NaH₂PO₄ + Na⁺

Also Windows Key + Period will open up a menu with a shit on of emojis and special characters, for things like that → arrow.

^note that it’s got tabs on both the top and bottom of the menu

This comes off like those articles about how office workers “actually hate working from home - can’t wait to return to office!”

Absolute bullshit.

Would there be a way to make a new community that acts as a kind of graveyard for content from deleted communities?

XYZ times out and gets auto deleted; all of its threads move to the graveyard. Disallow new threads in that community except by transfer from a deleted community; but allow new comments within those so that they still have potential to generate content from folks who landed there from a search.

Clean up derelict communities without actually losing anything - win win.

Science and education have both become (have always been?) politicized. Certain groups are incentivized to hamstring education at every opportunity in order to keep the churches full and the voters red.

The solution… we need to get those fuckers out of power. Voting works when voting works, but that’s obstructed and gerrymandered to oblivion, so… idk, break out the ol’ guillotine and start providing some free cervical spinal decompressions to our oligarchs?

The problem is shitty soil. The solution better funded and better quality schooling.

Onion is satire, not misinformation. Try Fox, or some of the more blatant shit like Info Wars.

I mean, it’s a showcase of misinformation - white supremacy is a pretty glaring front for that shit. Perfect match imo.

Bricklaying doesn’t normally involve sexual experiences

…oh. Um… whoops.

I did residential construction for a couple years, then 4 in the military, so no stranger to physical exhaustion… Insomnia hit even in those times.

The only way to predictably get a decent chunk of sleep is to kind of bank hours in the days leading up to it. Like if get 0 to maybe 3 hours per night through the work week, I’ll sleep like a baby come Saturday.

Never been on meds for it. Was afraid to report it when I was active duty (fucking stupid) and now my rating isn’t high enough to cover prescriptions and I don’t have regular health insurance so… can’t afford them. :-/

To actually fall asleep within a few minutes of laying in bed, and stay asleep until I actually need/want to be awake.

I think of it like a digital facial expression. Upvoting is akin to smiling or conveying some other positive emotion like affirmation or understanding (even if the subject matter is inherently negative). Downvote is the opposite- someone says something irl that makes you frown or grimmace, or you know they’re telling you a lie, your expression can convey that without a single word. Here, downvote.

There’s no real etiquette - if you feel like you want to give an up or down vote, just do it and don’t put too much thought into it.

I had over 300 days logged on my main, vanilla through cata.

For me, and I think most people with an obscene amount of time logged - we weren’t there for the game, we were there for the guild. It’s been years since I played, but I’m still in regular contact with some of those people - WAY more so than old friends from school and such.

Those folks were my digital family - I don’t regret those hours for a second.
