Curious what things you found less polished for power users?

My approach is: use the GUI if it’s easy, otherwise, use the command line.

Is there some level of power user beyond that? Using cat to write kernel modules in binary and load on the fly? (I kid…)

Software install tool on Mint is so much faster and more intuitive than the abomination I’m using on Nobara. I appreciate their efforts to make a gaming distro and I recommend it but if you want polish and more GUI tools, Mint works.

I stuck with it because it worked and I could do all my electronics, software, 3dp development. It’s kind of nice to mostly forget about the OS and just get projects done.

I also want to abolish the 2 party system. It’s the only way we will ever see true progress or stand a chance of reducing the influence of the rich.

Duverger’s Law says that voting systems with a single winner will result in two main parties emerging with votes merely drawn away by other parties.

In other words, voting 3rd party in our current system won’t make a 3rd party viable. At best it will replace one of the parties.

Instead, if you want a multi party system, the most effective way to achieve that is for you to work on getting ranked choice voting in your state.

I figured this day would eventually arrive where your car snitches on you to the cops.

I suppose they could track your speed a millisecond at a time and you pay a fine based on speed over limit times distance traveled and it is then the charges are sent every month like a bill. You can appear in court but will always lose of course. Of course they’re capturing the drivers face at all times and sending that to the po po to make sure they charge the right person.

I guess I’m never buying another new car. Fuck everything, at this point. I’m so done.

Only if it constantly overrides other obligations. I was fixated on a project to the exclusion of nearly everything for a couple years. It wasn’t healthy. But I succeeded at least lol.
