You’re assuming belief in the Abrahamic God to make your argument easier. But not all theists subscribe to such a position. And belief in a disinterested god who created the universe seems just as plausible as believing in a disinterested programmer who wrote a simulation.

People think that Jews in Israel are a monolith, but they actually come from different places and so have vastly different points of view.

For example, European Jews tend to favor a two-state solution whereas Arab and Russian Jews tend to disagree.

People on the internet will literally take the worst interpretation of what you’re saying in order to argue against it. While you’re stuck clarifying your point, they just keep attacking (often without advancing any competing thoughts of their own).

If I weren’t so passionate about standing behind my comments I wouldn’t keep falling for it, but somehow I do every time.

I think of Chat GPT like a sometimes-inaccurate-calculator. There may be some legitimate uses for the technology, but it’s still nice to know how to multiply numbers without it.

I’m not surprised. In the largest meme communities there seems to be a hard line about you are and aren’t able to joke about. And it seems like that line is determined by the political views of the mods in charge.
