I’m not surprised. In the largest meme communities there seems to be a hard line about you are and aren’t able to joke about. And it seems like that line is determined by the political views of the mods in charge.

I feel your pain. No one talks about it, but Imgur used to store a ton of reddit content. Apparently hosting all that info was not profitable, so they just deleted pictures that weren’t attached to an Imgur account.
