The moderation of Lemmy is equal parts inconsistent and arbitrary. That said, it’s all unpaid volunteer work so you gotta cut em a little slack.

Even if they’re both wrong, aren’t they also both opinions? People can have (an express) opinions that are factually wrong. I think the community should just downvote those kinds of posts instead of them being removed by mods.

I feel your pain. No one talks about it, but Imgur used to store a ton of reddit content. Apparently hosting all that info was not profitable, so they just deleted pictures that weren’t attached to an Imgur account.
