brokenlcd, to privacy in I'm looking for a privacy respecting vacuum robot

I think your best option is to find a used one that supports valetudo

brokenlcd, (edited ) to lemmyshitpost in Not noice

My internet is 1.5MBytes per second download… And 200kbytes upload, there was a torrent that i was able to save from dying, i remember the poor mf that downloaded that file from me for a whole week; to download 16GB since then he’s been seeding that file; the sheer tenacity that man had.

Edit:english is difficult

brokenlcd, to memes in What can I do for you THIS TIME

And this ladies and gentlemen, is why we play games at 1am and fuck up our sleep schedule

brokenlcd, to programmer_humor in Always

I’m not sure why but i just flat out work better at night when everyone is asleep, pretty mutch all of the “last modified” time on my project files is from 10 pm to 3 am

brokenlcd, to privacy in I'm looking for a privacy respecting vacuum robot

The problem is that they are closed off systems; you need to do full on reverse engineering to even understand what you are dealing with; plus there is the fact that these appliances are expensive and, unlike people modding consoles, there isn’t mutch gained for the majority of users

brokenlcd, to memes in Where is it damn it ???

I mean, with legos it’s not even that bad, because the pieces look different; i have a nightmare box full of screws and nuts with diffrent size and thread i ripped from old stuff, finding the screw you need is an herculean feat

brokenlcd, to privacy in I'm looking for a privacy respecting vacuum robot

No problem; do note that in most cases you are going to need to open the vacuum to access the serial interface; so make sure you are comfortable with doing that and that you have the necessary adapters… That last one bit me on numerous projects

brokenlcd, to memes in universal struggle bait

We resolved nothing; ya still gotta try to align the connector 2-3 times before it actually fits.

brokenlcd, to linuxmemes in Completely untrue nowadays...

On linux i was able to setup my hp laserjet no problem, cups recognised it just fine; the problem is with the integrated scanner, SANE sees that there is some sort of scanner but fails to talk to it, i have windows 10 installed on a usb key essentially only to use the scanner

brokenlcd, to asklemmy in What hobby do you have that no one else in your family shares?

Electronics, radiantism (HAM radio operation) and programming. for the first two i’m actually the only one in my town; which is sort of heplful for electronics since people bring broken equipment to me that i either fix or scrap for parts; while it is kind of a bummer for radiantism.

brokenlcd, to opensource in Searching for a Samsung Notes replacement

I think saber might be an option; can’t test it personally since i dont’ have a samsung.

brokenlcd, (edited ) to askelectronics in Light is light 🤷

Quartz heating elements are also resistors that emit light, but i’ve never seen anyone complain about them, people tend complain when they dont actually

brokenlcd, (edited ) to lemmyshitpost in Someone help me to understand this chart

I think we can only get a shart for that one. (Yeah i know i have the humor of a 2 year old)

brokenlcd, to foodporn in Chicago Deep Dish Pizza

Ok as an italian you got my interest; it kind of reminds me of a pizza ripiena without the top layer of dough

brokenlcd, to linuxmemes in Linux too mainstream for some 🤷

Reject modernity, return to typewriters
