Next question: What kind of fabric is her top made of? It is flexible enough to fit tightly yet inflexible enough to keep up the enormous knockers.

bstix,

The comments are really weird. Not just about the chart training and prostitutional aspect, but also that people who argue about it still seem to have a shared opinion that stererotypical men won’t do these tasks.

So, even if they acknowledge that the meme is crazy in one way or the other, they’re still reinforcing the negative stereotype of the bumbling sitcom dad and that these tasks are not manly or something.

This joke is quite toxic even when understood as a joke.

bstix,

Not OP, but yes. Japan doesn’t have salmonella issues, so they put raw egg on everything.

bstix,

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’s the foot of Kim Jong Un.

Yeah the Rick Astley gif is the correct answer. It just reminded me of another photo of Kim Jung On, which it isn’t.

Can’t find it now, but here’s another one.https://feddit.dk/pictrs/image/2d377793-5044-439e-9a2c-c15f8fcec8ba.webp

The only rule on punctuation that I ever learned in English was:

If in doubt - leave it out

Anyway, I fully acknowledge that my cellphone autocorrected my first comment wrongly and that “its” should have had an apostrophe. I’m just not going to edit it, because it makes no sense in any other way, so no one should be able to misunderstand the sentence and the grammar nazi added nothing of value.

bstix,

Not according to the latest Indiana Jones movie.

bstix,

Yeah I mean, it obviously depends on your age and world wide location. Contemporary 70 y/o in Europe have a decent understanding of math and logic. It’s a narrow cut off though. My grand parents on my father’s side never touched a computer while my grandparents on my mother’s side were shitposting on Facebook on their cellphones.

They were the example of the difference between understanding running a Fergus’s tractor and Wndows 95, despite having less than a decade in age difference

bstix,

Yes it would. Had I known it was already prepared for it, I’d never have repaired the walls.

bstix,

When my kid was a toddler we were standing in a street and she suddenly pointed at a group of people that looked like Pakistanis or Indians or thereabouts and asked loudly “Why do those people have dark skin?”

The entire street stopped and looked at us just waiting for my answer.

That wasn’t the time to go into long explanations about immigration, adoption, skin pigmentation or UV radiation.

I answered loud and clear “That’s because their parents had dark skin”.

Everyone shrugged and continued their business, but I’d like to think that my simple answer was a lesson for all the people who were ready to get offended from either a racist answer or from an overly political correct answer.

Some things don’t need to be difficult.

Sort of. This plate sticks out because in order to create a shadow and light this way when facing down it would have to be angled in a way that doesn’t match with the others when also assuming that they’re all placed on the same surface. It only looks right with the others when seen as face up. The trick here is that we normally assume light to come from the top when given no other clues, but this assumption doesn’t match with our assumption of placement. The text also suggests the wrong way first.

If the picture had been presented upside down, it might have been difficult to even ee it any other way than the correct one.

I’ve had Opel, Renault, Peugeot, VW, Skoda, Mazda, Suzuki.

None of them were worse than 7 L/100km. Pretty much all modern cars go at 5 L/100km unless you get something with a larger engine.

Never had a hybrid.

Nice list.

Personally I’ll always recommend Swordigo, which is also on the list. It’s old, but not only is it ad-free, free to download on Android, several hours of gameplay, but it’s also one of the best platformer that I have ever tried on any platform. Mainly because it’s perfectly balanced. No need to grind, but still difficult enough for some parts to require a little practice, without ever feeling needlessly difficult. IMO this game is what mobile gaming should have been.

My only complaint is they didn’t make a proper sequel.

bstix,

Historical-acktshually: the guitar is the grandfather of the ukulele.

bstix,

They posted the complaint, didn’t they?

bstix,

Yes that’s also very common, but that’s a little more complicated. It’s only an option for people who have had the same job for more than a year and for those who agree on settling the entire holiday pay in June even if they don’t actually go on holiday then. It varies how people do it.

Unlike Norway, most EU countries tax the holiday on accrual so it’s always without a deduction when paid out regardless of when. Norway taxes it in the payment year though it is spread over the other months.

There are pros and cons to both ways. Personally I think that EU has the better one, not because of the taxation but because it’s not necessary to accrue holiday in advance.

The original mene has got it all wrong. From mere appearance that guy could score higher than both of these, which explains his compulsory action.(At the time… Appearances change and socially acceptable behaviour has changed in the meantime). He’s trying to break out of the chains.

Unless he’s working in some job that isn’t “respectable”. In that case GF is taking advantage of him until she gets bored. I know plenty of these relationships…

Anyway. Everyone looks the same now, so being dumb and pretty isn’t really appealling.

There’s so many layers to this meme. I wonder if historians or algorithms will investigate it in 100 years

bstix,

The renewable energy has some wild fluctuations

This was in Denmark in July

It’s not always this extreme, but there’s usually a few hours every week where the price is negative. I’ve heard that the reason is that the Dutch wind turbines keep running when it’s not profitable, so they crash the prices for everyone. Anyway, timing the car charger makes a lot of sense. I haven’t paid for driving in several months.

bstix,

I guess they’ve got hard water in that city too.

bstix,

It’s not difficult. Gravity is like magnetism for things that aren’t magnetic.

bstix,

There are several others.

Its not exactly difficult to find. newatlas.com/marine/new-aden-supertanker-sails/

Maersk has also had one ship fitted with rotor sails: maersktankers.com/…/norsepower-rotor-sails-confir…

bstix,

I’ve gotten back better at it. First you’ve got to recognize the situation and the then you’ll need to stop and enjoy it. As a kid you had plenty of time to enjoy feelings, but as an adult you have to take your time to do it.

bstix,

It would be great if Victoria from Reddit would do it. Even Reddit can't do proper AMAs without her.

It's a pretty important task to verify that the AMAee is who they claim to be and to ensure that the technical things work.

There's no way that someone famous would bother making an account on Lemmy by themselves just for this unless they already understand what it is in the first place.

It basically requires a host to conduct it like a regular interview.
