That depends on your definition of English. Do you consider middle English English?

People generally expect you to have an excuse, though. Otherwise, you get your one baby shower (only the first baby!) and anything else is tacky. I think that’s why gender reveals caught on so fast. The parents and, maybe, grandparents are grasping at excuses to celebrate. And why people find them so cringe in general. Everyone else is a bit annoyed you’re getting more than your one party.

Even for the morning after pill, the main mechanism is to prevent/delay ovulation that cycle. It theoretically can reduce the likelihood of implantation, but it’s less effective at that mode of prevention. And if the embryo already implanted, it will do nothing.

From the FDA:

Plan B One-Step works before release of an egg from the ovary. As a result, Plan B One-Step usually stops or delays the release of an egg from the ovary. It is one tablet that contains a higher dose of levonorgestrel than birth control pills and works in a similar way to prevent pregnancy.

Evidence does not support that the drug affects implantation or maintenance of a pregnancy after implantation, therefore it does not terminate a pregnancy.

If you don’t vote for anything, you aren’t actually voting, just wasting time. No one cares that there’s a spoiled ballot. It has 0 impact.

Your dad and his cousin share a set of grandparents. You and your dad’s cousin’s kid share a set of great-grandparents. That’s 3 generations up for both of you. So, 2nd cousins. No removed.

Debts, yes. But businesses don’t have to accept cash if you pay before the service is rendered or the product is purchased.

You’re right. Notepad++ still lists macs as using CR for their EOL conversion tool, so I didn’t realize.

candybrie, to piracy in Naming Torrents

Windows uses CR LF (carriage return, line feed), whereas Unix just uses LF. For added fun, macs use CR.

If you find visual clutter distracting or upsetting, it’s a pretty useful trick to still be able to own a bunch of books. Alphabetize your books, and you can still find them. And most people I know can find their favorites even without that.

It’s kind of like getting mad at people who organize their books by color. If you’re a visual person, there’s a half decent chance you remember the color of the book rather than remembering the author’s name.

You’ll also find a ton in Ohio and Pittsburgh and even Canada. At this point, the flag has very little to do with being southern.

West Virginia is not the south. West Virginia exists because they were so insistent on not being the south.

I love that the two replies contradict each other. Are the new titanium phones more fragile or more resistant to damage?
