Time math gets a bit difficult far enough from UTC. Where I live virtually any event in Europe or Asia will be happening on a different day there than here, so it’s not fun to try and figure in one’s head.
The only universal solution is to link to a converter site.
Personally I wish everything supported the automaticly-converting timestamps I’ve seen in Discord which just show up in local time or as a countdown.
Not yet possible. Google hasn’t provided an API to access RCS from 3rd party apps. They did to Samsung’s messenger (1st party as far as their own phones), but as far as I know that is the only other one currently. (Verizon for a while had their own RCS implementation and infrastructure and their own messenger app could access it)
I generally agree with the message behind this sarcasm, but in this specific case OP really is learning the GNU utilities in particular (via Linux) so I don’t mind the extra nomenclature.
You know how it’s said that children are narcissists or psychopaths or whatever? I actually remember the moment that stopped being the case for me.
It must have been kindergarten, and we had a raffle style drawing in class. I knew I would win of course, I remember thinking that.
Then some other kid won. Blew my mind. It was at that moment that it really hit me that other people have fully independent lives and minds, just like mine, and the universe didn’t exist for my benefit. (Of course before that, if you had asked me I’m sure I would have said those things, but didn’t actually feel it intuitively until right then).
I feel like experiencing a loss (which wasn’t my own fault) was a very significant part of my mental development at that age, and I think it’s important for people to get that while growing up.
We can’t in fact all be winners. To quote a great philosopher:
“It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.”
The solution to that was ExFAT, which is another patented MS system, so requires a license fee (I think) but otherwise is compatible with anything (because they all had to pay the fee…) But specifically compatible with Windows out of the box.
I would guess that you have seen the first episode of “The Boys”?
Anyway, option 1 is very clearly superior, even if incredibly boring, because it includes not becoming tired or hungry during the trip. You kinda would get to zone out for months at a time, like a super long scenic vacation.
