I’m David. I live in Tacoma, Washington. I do square foot gardening, home automation with Home Assistant, and have too many cats.

You think you saw me behind some ferns? You just might have!

If you have any kind of firewall on your network, you might make sure it’s not blocking that port with a rule. Here’s a couple screenshots from my setup in case that helps.

The config in NPM

The config in HA’s configuration.yaml

Try adding just the NPM IP and HA IP first, then add the docker internal network as well if you still have issues.

A pizza stone can definitely help. You might also prebake the crust for a few minutes before adding sauce+toppings, it can help with soggy bottoms.

Abandoned golf courses are being reclaimed by nature (www.cnn.com)

Golf courses, despite occupying large green spaces, are not necessarily good for the environment. Land is often cleared to make way for a fairway and maintaining the pristine turf often requires a lot of water, regular mowing and the spraying of fertilizers and pesticides – none of which is good for biodiversity....

Well, these were golf courses… The uplifting part IS that they stopped mowing it to let it be used for better purposes
