A man of culture, i see

frunch, to lemmyshitpost in Gastronomical Masterpiece

Have you ever American though?

frunch, to lemmyshitpost in I wish someone would flush already...

Agreed! There’s definitely better places for discourse on the Internet–especially nowadays

frunch, to asklemmy in What is your unpopular flim opinion

The book is amazing. I love the film too, but the book def helps fill in the gaps

frunch, to lemmyshitpost in They forgot the LGBTQ...

Thanks for taking the time to break that down for me. I will just go ahead and attack my own reading comprehension–i never would have deduced that from their comment, no way.

frunch, to lemmyshitpost in They forgot the LGBTQ...

What does your comment mean though? Feel free to attack my reading comprehension but i don’t actually think your comment is making a statement. Distill it so my slow ass understands and maybe (and that’s a big maybe) we can try to have some sort of conversation. Judging by the downvotes i presume your opinion is unpopular–i just don’t understand it well enough to see why.

frunch, to memes in NWBTCW

It would help if people would stop being deliberately obtuse for the sake of sounding intelligent while making a political statement. Wtf does your comment even mean, lol

frunch, to risa in Picard Season 1 originally was very brief

I like to pronounce it West-el-ey. Gotta make that ‘t’ count!

frunch, to comicstrips in Why you have to call me out like that? [ADHDinos]

I kinda thought that might be the case but i figured it was also a chance to share a bit of appreciation for the artist and the help these threads can provide. Right on!

frunch, to comicstrips in Why you have to call me out like that? [ADHDinos]

I am too, but I’ll admit i don’t mind. These comics along with some other posts I’ve come across have helped me understand ADHD. I always thought i was a little weird or different, but seeing how many people can relate to these helps me realize I’m not alone. Kinda nice to have something to point to that explains a lot of the awkwardness I’ve experienced over the years, especially in my social life. Still gotta seek guidance/therapy but identifying the condition is an important first step.

frunch, to privacyguides in It seems Gen Z is just fine with parents knowing where they are all the time

Wow, that seems particularly odd to me. People don’t want their parents to know where they live? Sounds like they had a rough childhood more than a penchant for extreme privacy, but wtf do i know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

frunch, to privacyguides in It seems Gen Z is just fine with parents knowing where they are all the time

This is to the point where there are YouTube videos where people cut away little bits of space between sentences just so there isn’t even a second of calm

Omg, i really, really don’t like that. It took a little while before i began noticing it but now i can’t ignore it anytime it’s happening. I simply won’t watch those videos because i won’t be able to focus for very long. It can be especially jarring how they’ll cut from one sentence into the next one and the editing makes it seem like their head glitched into another spot. I won’t follow any YouTubers that do this stuff, I’ll find something else to watch ¯_(ツ)_/¯

frunch, to memes in the right reacting to a leftist meme

Are you guys making your own echo chamber in the middle of an echo chamber? Seems rather echonomical ¯_(ツ)_/¯

frunch, to memes in the right reacting to a leftist meme

Please don’t be offended, but maybe you just need to hang out with better memes breh 👐

frunch, to science_memes in fishing for math

This conversation reminds me of the first couple times i surfed Reddit over a decade ago. It was so cool to be in a place where intelligent and interesting discussion was happening… Wish i could contribute something useful to it, but i just want to thank you all for carrying that kind of energy into the '20s 🥂
