What’s the search engine you all recommend that I can inject into my daily life? Is there perhaps a search engine that is focused on code, or have we just all moved on to AI for searching?...
I need to try it out. If it’s as good as its reputation implies and stays that way, I’d be $5/mo amount of interested. But I have no idea how many times I’m going to need to search for something per month. Not a fan of that limitation.
Visited Japan recently and was surprised at the lack of fucked up chip flavors. Sure, they were somewhat different, but still clearly chip-appropriate food flavors. My friend there tells me stuff like this tends to be sold at very limited times and also varies by region. So weird flavors are more like rare special editions than the norm.
Are you just looking for any big packs of free, miscellaneous sound effects? Sonniss has given away huge SFX packs for game design for several years. Thousands of files. I think they’re all still available on their site. Just feed it a throwaway email for the links.
I heard my partner’s dad working on some IKEA patio furniture or something in his backyard when he messed something up and yelled, “Nothing’s ever easy!” In the moment, it was hilarious. Then it was kind of sad. Then it was true. Many years later that shit still sticks with me. Nothing ever is fucking easy. And any time you feel like you’re getting a bit too sure of yourself or when you need to keep in mind everything you’ve gotten through so far, it’s good to remind yourself of that.
