In high school a friend of a very attractive popular girl asked me if I liked popular girl. I thought she was playing some kind of prank on me so I said no. It was not a prank. She really did like me. To this day I wish I would have said yes.
Mine is to carefully consider the need for "extras". But because prices are better and returns are easy I lean more towards purchasing than not. I am less inclined to purchase at other stores where prices are higher and returns nor complicated.

Use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). https://protonvpn.com is considered one of the best.
Turn off location services on your phone (this will probably be controversial but I think it makes a lot of sense).
