ipkpjersi,

Excellent, I love when my phone is so thin it risks bending.

ipkpjersi,

SD card slots, user-replaceable batteries, and headphone jacks.

ipkpjersi,

Japanese also has quite a few borrow-words/loan-words from English too.

You can have some really English-sounding Japanese: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW4AiEqKGto lol

ipkpjersi,

Who doesn’t want to buy some FUCKIN’? It’s 20% off, after all.

Ending support for Windows 10 could send 240 million computers to the landfill. Why not install Linux on them? (gadgettendency.com)

With support ending for Windows 10, the most popular desktop operating system in the world currently, possibly 240 million pcs may be sent to the landfill. This is mostly due to Windows 11’s exorbitant requirements. This will most likely result in many pcs being immediately outdated, and prone to viruses. GNU/Linux may be...

ipkpjersi,

Nah, that’s shit. We are not the problem. The people in this thread don’t seem to be the kind of people to go out and buy the latest device every 6 months. I keep my phones for years until either the performance or battery becomes nearly unusable for me. I install Linux on older hardware (and newer hardware) and buy new hardware when necessary, not every time it comes out.

You can blame the average person, sure, but saying all of us is just incorrect.

ipkpjersi,

Because if not this it will always be something else.

That’s why it’s good to always have a camera with you, never know when you’re gonna get a good picture. That’s why it’s good phones have capable cameras these days.

Honestly my bigger problem is when I go downstairs without my phone, and then I see a red fox running around and playing in my backyard being very photogenic, or a squirrel standing on my windowsill posing for the camera. I run upstairs to get my phone, run back downstairs, and it’s gone.

I selfishly wish he had a son or daughter to carry on his legacy lol

More generations deserve to know how good Valve is.

ipkpjersi,

No worries, glad to hear you got it up and running again :)

ipkpjersi,

For me it was 2017 lol never looked back since

ipkpjersi,

I think it’s because CRTs seem like such a thing from the 80s, and Shrek is more recent than that, but Shrek and CRTs were both fairly common in the early 2000s.

ipkpjersi, (edited )

For older retro-style game consoles, a CRT still provides a better display experience, on LCDs you get smuging/bluring that just wasn’t present on CRTs for these older consoles. An LCD etc just doesn’t do them justice the way a CRT does.

ipkpjersi,

I mean, Ghost Recon Wildlands which came out in 2017 for example has save dates written as a 32-bit date so it’s prone to the 2038 bug, I set the date to 2040 and tested a bunch of software and while you can save the date overflows and shows as 1969. I bet there are still people using 32-bit dates even if unintentionally.

ipkpjersi,

Nope, saving and loading works on that game (and pretty much every other game I tested), it’s just you lose the date display in-game so you don’t know when you really last saved.

ipkpjersi,

That’s because it’s Charlie, he’s entertaining enough he could commentate paint drying and it’d be the best video I’ve seen all day lol

It’s a bit of an uncommon distro for servers but it’s a fine choice. :)

ipkpjersi,

Sometimes the side quests feel less forced than the main quests, so I tend to enjoy that about them.

I think FPS was actually selected, not frametimes. 1% low frametimes of 89 does not make sense.

There is an issue with the image in the article, but not the one that you might think it was. The FPS should have been more clearly indicated that it was the selected tab and then it probably would have been fine.

edit: I went to the base website www.computerbase.de/2023-12/…/2/ it’s in German, but, it seems like the frametimes and frame rates are nearly the exact same values - which doesn’t even seem to make sense to me?

You catch more bees with honey than vinegar. Smart developers treat all their users well and then they get the same treatment in return. It’s the smartest way to do things.

ipkpjersi,

“have full network access” BIG YIKES

ipkpjersi,

Don’t mix finances and family. Family is more important than money.

It seems like OP’s family may not feel the same way.
