2 days ago (see 2) I posted something into the !programmer_humor community which got almost 1000 upvotes (see 1) while the user numbers for the last week are at 131 (see 3), this doesn’t add up. How can 131 users upvote almost 1000 times?
The first time you walk towards this car, it’s like fucking ugly, hate this car. But when you enter the car it’s love. It has to smell decently like hubba bubba watermelon gum though, the old ones.
The magic ends, when you exit the car and close the door. Then it’s ugly again, disgusting even.
To THE computer, wherever that was. When i learned Basic in 1986/87, the only computers i had access to, were those we used in class.
Yeah, after class, homework consisted of writing code on paper. Copilot = Basic Book
Like, for what purpose you’d have a computer at home?
Iirc Basic was the first, non-scientist friendly programming language. I saw an ad in the newspapers and signed up. We were 6 students in total and the first people ( not working in any scientific field ) in our small town, which knew how to use a computer and write the code for the beloved starfield screen saver in Basic.
Edit: having watched war games 3 years prior, when i was 13, i really felt like a spy doing secret stuff.
Ikr? It’s a daily joy to get one awesome post after the other. There were days, where i thought “ok, this is the peak, it can’t get better than this” only to be proven wrong the next day. Again and again.
Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.
I have come across a lot’s of people like these. like 99% of them. Sometimes it makes me think twice if what i am saying is wrong? What’s wrong with them. Is it so hard to swallow your pride and acknowledge that the other person is speaking facts? When they come to know they are wrong they proceed to insult/make fun of...
