That’s a great question. I’m using the API from Open Weather. It’s free for the first 1000 requests, then like fifteen cents per 100 after that. They also have a free version of their API.
Eventually, if enough people start using it, I’ll switch to the free, limited version. So I don’t share this app with others much.
What am I getting out of it? I built it because I was tired of other weather apps and also wanted something to add to my portfolio since I’m trying to switch from SDET to Android developer.
My kiddo and I are having a fruit and vegetable challenge. Each month we’ll seek out a fruit or vegetable we’ve never tried and taste it. My BFF is trying to walk all the greenways in our county (that is county not country, low stakes! Attainabl!). How about you?
I feel I have better engagement here. It is still missing some more niche communities that Reddit had, and I’m trying to be active to grow them, but it has been slow.
You could turn invisibility on and off as you like and there would be no time limit. Your clothes would turn invisible too, and you could decide whether the items you are holding would be visible or not....
Just went down the aliexpress rabbit hole again. Theres really everythinf for some of really niche things that i wouldnt ever buy, but some things really do look appealing. I wonder what do you guys use daily thats worth lets say under $20
Realized that with my new job I’m at $500/month for gas. Starting to seriously consider a hybrid or electric but damn they expensive. Either way might just need something more reliable than my 320k+ car....

What has been the best thing that has happened to you so far?
Either by choice or sheer luck. What is something that has happened to you that made your life actively better?...
What word do you always forget?
I always forget refactoring, as in code refactoring, and fiber.
If you could only listen to someone talk about one topic for the rest of your life, what would it be, and why?
