Heya folks, some people online told me I was doing partitions wrong, but I’ve been doing it this way for years. Since I’ve been doing it for years, I could be doing it in an outdated way, so I thought I should ask....
I use btrfs subvols to keep my stuff separate without any sort of hard limit.
The reason? Makes managing system backups easier. The home and log directories are both on separate subvol; the tmp directories are on tmpfs. All I need to do is snapshpt the root subvol.
Today we are forced to share some sad news - yesterday many of our domains were seized again. We should highlight that the majority of the seized domains were not mirrors of the Z-Library website. Instead, they were separate sub-projects, containing only books in rare languages of the world, and their blocking is perplexing. For...
This may be a stupid question, but I just got back into pirating some shows and movies and realize that many of the QxR files are much smaller than what I downloaded in the past. Is it likely that I am sacrificing a noticeable amount of quality if I replace my files with the smaller QxR ones?...
I know Debian and others can breathe life into older machines. But i wonder if there are any distros with serious optimizations that I haven’t heard of. I’ve already tried MX Linux on an old Thinkpad SL400, and didn’t see any difference from plain Debian....
just need something to do light development (docker, python, rust, with an ide). something i can upgrade (ram, ssd minimum). laptop would best, but desktop works too...
Not sure your exact situation, but from just the information you shared, there seem to be three options that you can choose from.
remain undiscovered: just do nothing, stay where you are
heavily curate your profile: get rid of the stuff you want to hide which I presume would be the reason you want to stay anonymous
just show everything: hide nothing, let them judge you
There’s actually the fourth option in which you create something new just to show them, but would it be the kind of piece you’d be proud of? It wouldn’t be the same as the ones you’d want to show them.

I’m not just talking cruelty in terms of their goals, but also how they went about achieving their goals
