And you completely miss the point where it’s much harder to comprehend what people are talking about. Had it said “he/him” it would have been 100% clear without a doubt immediately, and it would have insulted NOBODY.
Nobody was insulted by him/her since forever, now we can’t use that anymore because somehow it’s exclusionary, insulting or “assuming the obvious gender”
It’s always so hard to read and understand when people start using them/they when referring to a single person. Please stop, it’s okay to say him/her, nobody will die.
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
So it’s Friday December the fifth, 80 AD, 5:30pm, and Mozes is hacking away on his clay tables to nail down the final tally of this week’s adminstration of the amount of cows his boss owns and he goes "Mother fucker! These romans again ripped me off, sold me a clay tablet that only allows me to count to 720 cows, not the 751 I got! FUCK! Now I need another tablet and start tallying from the beginning, you mother fuckers!
I for one hope to move from kubuntu to debian with KDE, I assume that won’t have snap shit or systemd shit, but I might be painfully mistaken right there, I haven’t checked it out yet.
Why would you pay for an incompetent sabotaging system?
I installed both windows and Linux about a week ago. Linux was (with download and USB creation) a little over 30 minutes. Windows was an agonizing 7 hour journey through all sorts of dumb vague error messages, internet searches disconnecting and reconnecting drives, various rewrites the that USB drive, having to spin up a VPS in Linux and install windows there first… It was a fucking nightmarish hellscsape caused by a mix of windows developers (and their managers) incompetence and pure sabotage of people that use real operating systems.
Fuck everything about Microsoft, install Linux and stick with that. We have cookies
There are still problems. The mobile app recently got loads better but still has some pretty major issues with subtitles, showing that subtitles either are barely tested, or the dev simply doesn’t have the resources required or finished the app in a better way. Right now you cannot watch two episodes of a show in a row over Chromecast with subtitles without the last subtitles of the previous show frozen in screen and the new subtitles being display above those. Gotta disconnect Chromecast, shutdown the app, restart everything. This is super annoying but still light-years better than the previous mobiel app that would basically require a reinstall after each episode.
There are many other issues too, scrubbing is much better again, but still problematic and tents to freeze, requiring restarting everything.
Jellyfin is awesome but I can’t really let my wife use it, as she doesn’t have the computer patience that I have.
Heya folks, some people online told me I was doing partitions wrong, but I’ve been doing it this way for years. Since I’ve been doing it for years, I could be doing it in an outdated way, so I thought I should ask....
Btrfs is awesome and awful at the same time, and it’s a complicated story. It was rather ill-defined at the beginning and took a LONG time to get anywhere.
Don’t get me wrong though, it’s a pretty awesome filesystem right now and I use it for all my storage drives. Having said that, i still use ext4 with lvm on my system drives and evenrnmy btrfs drives have lvm under them

One single partition for Linux versus using a partition table?
