rambos,

That one is hard to maintain. I think torentleech is best for new peeps

rambos,

Sounds like you want *arr stack. Radarr will trigger torrent client to download files, then it will make a copy (hard link), rename files and put them in folder structure as you like. You will have 2 folders with same movie, but they take space only for one

rambos,

Not OP, but didnt work for me. I dont know how to passtrough gpu (or not possible with single gpu?) and performance is so bad its unusable

rambos,

This makes me more comfortable to finish building my 2nd PC for windows with KVM switch

Need advice on remote management of a Jellyfin server and Qbittorrent.

Some background. I set up a Jellyfin server for my family to host TV shows and movies for them for free. I finally had enough of Xfinity and switched to T-Mobile 5G home internet, but in doing so, I lost the ability to control my network’s port forwarding. I’m spending literally half the previous amount on internet and...

rambos,

Renaming and metadata is default. Even though I just checked, I have disabled all metadata “providers” in arrs apps (not sure is this defaut?), but I have also set jellyfin library metadata to TheTVDB as first priority. It was working fine at default settings, but had a mess with season numbers of one show (dragon ball) before the change. Iirc arrs are using tvdb for metadata

Its maybe pain to set arrs, but once you get deeper in the setup it becomes much easier and its deffo worth

Obsidian + syncthing for all platforms. Probably also possible joplin + syncthing but didnt try that one

rambos,

Can you explain bit more please. I have calibre-web running, downloaded empty database, added some books in the same folder as database, but nothing is showing up in calibre-web gui. Did I miss something?

rambos,

I had jellyfin and 20+ more containers on rpi4 4GB and didnt have that problem.

rambos,

Almost everything in docker. Pihole and wireguard bare metal

rambos,

I think you are good to go. Just chose distro (pop os for me) and be amazed how everything works out of the box.

Lot of people recommend libre office and its great, but in my experience Only Office is super compatible with ms office and its perfect for me. You can try only office on windows and see is it working for you. I bet it does.

I have few apps for work that cant run on linux, but thats mostly professional engineering software (cad, cam, nesting and few more) and some of them can probably be used with wine or simmilar.

Even if you want to play games linux is not far from windows today.

Im not advanced user, fully switched to linux only 6 months ago. just my 2c

rambos,

AirVPN cuz I dont know any other with port forwarding thats cheap like that

rambos,

qBittorrent network interface bind not working?

I am using ProtonVPN, and have (or so I thought) set up qBittorrent to bind to the network interface that ProtonVPN is using (tun0). The connection symbol turns red if I turn off the VPN, and downloads will stop. However, when checking the torrent address on ipleak.net, it seems that this bind is not working properly - my real...

rambos,

Im using gluetun + qbittorrent in docker containers. I was just following recommendations and it works amazingly well

rambos,

They give you points for active torrents even if you dont seed anything. If you keep your torrent client active 24/7 its quite easy imo. I have 1.7 TB upload of witch 1TB was bought with tl points

rambos,

Its not actually pirating, but vimusic is free youtube music with no adds and it doesnt need account. Its amazing if you need it on phone only

rambos,

Most providers offer both openVPN and wireguard where latter is better afaik. What you want for safe sailing is kill switch. When something goes wrong you dont want your home IP to leak, and kill switch will make sure you are disconnected instead of using home IP.

So if you get AirVPN for example, download their client called Eddie and look for kill switch option (called network lock). Other clients might have different name, some might not have that feature at all and some might have crappy kill switch.

What I use is qbittorrent in docker container hidden behind VPN in gluetun container (most recommended setup afaik)

Searching for a 'library manager' that looks awesome.

As the title says. I have been searching for something like Kodi but more focused on an offline library manager for all the media I have. I can just navigate with the file explorer through my folders but it just looks not that pretty. Is there anything like a library manager to display my videos/music in a similar way of big...

rambos,
