I understand that, but I didn’t post an actual recipe at first, i posted an idea of a recipe that required an actual basis of understanding to create a basic recipe. No one would accept an unseasoned recipe, not even myself. Even the most complex chicken noodle soup recipe involves salt, pepper, basil, and oregano. Sorry if I didn’t meet your standards initially.

perhaps you’d be interested in the fact that I grew up in a very rural area. The nearest city was Rochester, MN, roughly 30 minutes away if you were going 70 in the 55 on US 52. I agree that rural areas will need cars to go from their houses to towns and cities, but I’ve thought extensively about public transit in rural areas, and I think it’s far easier than folks think.

I edited my initial comment to be a legit recipe. There isn’t “no seasoning” as you claim

At $13 for all the ingredients, it produces way more than a can of progresso, and I think it tastes slightly better

As seen in the Wikipedia article, sodium ion batteries also require rare earth metal anodes, or toxic materials like mercury which is also bad. Better than lithium ion, but still generally not great. The best option would be aluminum air batteries, which should be easily accessible and are extremely recyclable

I’ve never seen canned celery, but I imagine that it would be far too mushy for chicken noodle soup. Besides, this is the quick and dirty version of the soup, since it takes a minute to chop the celery and then all that’s left is letting it simmer for 20 minutes. Obviously it tastes much better with fresh ingredients

It was started by a random guy, and iirc he did it because he knew it was sacred

rockSlayer, (edited ) to fuck_cars in Electric cars: The equivalent of switching from binge drinking whiskey to binge drinking wine.

It does, because the batteries for electric cars have a reliance on rare earth metals.

Lol the downvotes are hilarious. We will not solve climate change with electric cars. Public transit in walkable communities with niche uses for cars and trucks are the only way forward.

rockSlayer, to asklemmy in After a lifetime against, I'm considering joining social media. Any advice?

For the most part, stick to the fediverse.

  • Lemmy/kbin = reddit (you are here)
  • Mastodon = twitter
  • Pixelfed = Instagram
  • Friendica = Facebook
  • Peertube = Youtube

The only standard social media account I’d recommend is linkedin, literally only because it’s meant to network for jobs. Don’t get me wrong, it’s full of desperate corporate worship and therefore miserable to use. However, the real point is networking for career advancement and job listings

Or anything radioactive. Turns out it was a bad idea to make radium-lined water coolers

Fair point. When the unix epoch happens and the world is returned to 1970, I’ll keep it in mind for that flight in 44 years

Counterpoint, getting high and taking a commercial flight now is awesome. On my last flight, I had a few edibles before boarding and watched interstellar during the flight. As they were landing on the first planet, the plane hit some turbulence. 10/10 most immersive experience ever

Yep lol it’s all part of the same national park!

You’re telling me you’ve never pegged with your friends?

rockSlayer, (edited ) to mildlyinteresting in Two airplanes landing at the same time with close proximity

My thoughts too. I figured that the FAA would prevent this from happening for any reason except emergencies

Edit: c’mon folks, I’m not asserting that this is an emergency or that this is against regulations. I thought it was, but if this is a normal landing then it’s simply a surprise to me that it happens.
