Make Inkscape installed through Flatpak callable in the terminal as 'inkscape'?

I have a Python-package that calls Inkscape as part of a conversion process. I have it installed, but through Flatpak. This means that calling inkscape does not work in the terminal, but rather flatpak run org.inkscape.Inkscape. I need the package to be able to call it as inkscape....

I handle it more like ln -s /var/lib/flatpak/exports/bin/org.inkscape.Inkscape ~/.local/bin/inkscape

.local/bin is a directory that you may have to make, but your shell’s startup scripts should automatically add it to the PATH after that.

I don’t see how swap has much chance to fragment. A swapfile has to be fully allocated up front and cannot be CoW. If it’s allocated well in the first place, it will stay that way.

The swap code doesn’t really do I/O through the filesystem. AIUI, it locks the file, gets the disk block #s from the FS, and after that it accesses those blocks directly.

Videos stuttering across all applications

For a little over a month now, when playing videos on firefox, VLC, or any other application, I get infrequent stutters. This is with or without hardware accelleration. It’s as if the video pauses briefly. If multiple videos are playing, even across different applications, each of them will be effected at the same time....

Yesterday night I had a problem with a usb port and the touch pad not working, I restarted the system a few times and switched back and forth with windows (which is installed on a different drive), they didn't work even there.After a few restarts the usbport and the touch pad came back to life, but the wifi stopped working. Son of a bitch. Instead of “turning shit the fuck off”, is windows putting the wifi card into some sort of eternal WoL mode when it shuts down? And the wifi card isn’t resetting at boot time (or honoring a reset command) to give the linux drivers a known starting state?

And the price for that beautiful, flicker-free experience is … some Macs will brick themselves. You can get them into a state where (IIRC) the dual-boot between an older macOS and a newer one (or Ashai) disagree on display modes, and the bootloader dies. Only Apple can fix that.
