Meh. The rider has poor technique. With all her weight on her back foot she will have a really hard time initiating a turn and will likely fall as she tries to engage her heel edge.

I would love to learn how to block YouTube ads with a proxy. Do you have a link to instructions?

Sleeping on my back is soooo relaxing… when I can fall asleep. For some reason I have the hardest time falling asleep on my back, but when it does happen it’s bliss.

Because Aperture Labs didn’t open until the 1950s duh.

This is not distro specific advice but: when starting out you can use a virtual machine like VMware to test drive Linux without having to repartition your drive. VMware is free for individual non commercial use.

I'm looking for a privacy respecting vacuum robot

I’m looking for a vacuum robot preferably under 500€ and with a cleaning station. My main concern is that most robot vacuum providers seem to need to be connected to the internet. Are there any providers that either don’t need that, where I can block the internet connection or any other way not getting a spy in my home?...

Another approach is rather than worry about whether the robot or IoT device is respecting your privacy, set up your network to be segmented with VLANs so that the IoT devices can only reach the internet and nothing else on your network. Then just provide fake info for setting up accounts with the IoT devices.

Look at all the Grandpa Joe apologists in this thread. No need to defend this piece of shit. Sad!

44 year old Calvin would probably make a decent candidate. He’s already pretty articulate for a 6 year old, very creative, and shenanigans aside seems to have a good heart.

Wait did you photoshop a pip onto the meme template? Lmao

The original caption to the Picard image was “WTF IS THIS SHIT”.

They are NOT the same image.

I finally switched back to Linux as my daily driver after a couple of years of being on nothing but Windows.

I ran Manjaro Linux as my daily driver a few years ago but slowly phased it out for Windows for some reason, and I’m finally back using Linux (currently Linux Mint). I gotta say, I don’t know why I ever switched back to Windows. There’s just so much freedom Linux gives you right off the bat that Windows is just plain...

For work the only thing that holds me back from using Linux is Office 365. The web apps for O365 are just not up to par for anything other than the most basic tasks.

Linux Mint is instant Nescafe - pour in hot water and it Just Works. It doesn’t necessarily taste the best but it gets the job done.

agreed! If there were ever a linux distro that Just Works, it would be Linux Mint.

Malcolm Reynolds vs Ben Sisko. I would pay good money to see that.

As much as I appreciate Skeltor, the cat would have worked just as well.

This is why I don’t tell anyone about my problems. I don’t want your empathy; I want a fucking solution.

Surprisingly, Microsoft Authenticator works very well. On iOS it lets you back up your authentication tokens to iCloud and on Android I believe there is some way to do this too (I don’t have an Android phone so idk). I would avoid Google Authenticator because to the best of my knowledge there is no way to back up, and at some point in the past it crashed on me and I lost all my 2FA logins, which was a huge pain to recover from.
