The whole mask are useless lie is probably the big one.
There’s also the immediate dismissal of lab leak theories.
Continuing to recommend cloth masks after studies showed they were either useless or became saturated and may exacerbate spread.
For state actions:
Lockdowns were never part of the recommended approach, that wasn’t a scientific recommendation.
There were the arbitrary rules like wearing a mask in a restaurant unless you were sitting that had no science behind them.
There were rules like no motorized boats, but non motorized is acceptable.
Closing schools despite most experts citing the long term affects harming development, also little evidence that kids were at any significant risk from covid.
Classifying tents with walls and igloos as outdoors to avoid mask restrictions.
Keeping mask rules while outdoors for well after it was established there’s basically 0 chance of outdoor spread for covid.
More generally:
The obsession with surface cleaning despite evidence for surface transmission being nearly impossible being established very early.
Criticizing anti mask protests for not being safe, but completely ignoring the same issue with blm protests.
the overwhelming save all lives at all costs advocacy, which isn’t even policy in normal times.

American cheese is great when you want a cheese that melts, but doesn’t become liquid. It’s great for burgers, grilled cheese, Mac and cheese, and dips.
I’ll go first: “You have to have children when you’re young,” told to me when I was in my late 20s, with no desire to ever have kids, and no means to support them, by someone divorced multiple times with at least one adult child who does not speak to them....
I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Occasionally there will be questions that only reddit has the answer to so I have to reluctantly use it. I...
I’ve gone back and lurked a single sub a fee times that doesn’t have an active user base here. Even the sub is slower now, than before the protests and app removals. The mobile site is cancer compared to RIF, which really helps to not go there.
I think I’ve settled on the latter. Disagreement is maybe best communicated by the absence of an upvote? And downvotes work best when they signal something that is just off base, and while not reportable, is not appreciated at a broad cultural level.
You’re taking things way to personally on the internet if you worry about down votes. It’s not people’s job to explain everything to you. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t, learn to move on from downvotes.

Get a bigger/better hard drive, 250gb isn’t going to be that useful unless you really only surf the web or work with basic office documents. The average game nowadays is going to take 15-20% of your drive, the worst offenders won’t even fit on it.

What do you use Vaseline for?
I have a tub of Vaseline and have hardly scratched the surface. I’m curious whether anyone uses it for anything other than their lips.

Downvotes = “I disagree” or “this is bad and you should feel bad”?
I think I’ve settled on the latter. Disagreement is maybe best communicated by the absence of an upvote? And downvotes work best when they signal something that is just off base, and while not reportable, is not appreciated at a broad cultural level.
