Suggestions for consumer cloud syncing on Linux?
I’m brand new to Linux, running Mint on an old laptop to get a few more years out of it. I can install things via CLI, but I prefer GUI if available....
Is there such a thing as split-screen grep?
I want to run a command and see all of its output on the left hand side, while simultaneously searching/grepping for particular lines on the right hand side. In other words, I want a temporary vertically split screen in my CLI, ideally with scrollback on each side of the split, but where I expect the left hand side to be...

How many of you run a Linux phone (Pine64, Librem etc) as your daily driver?
I was going through Pine64’s page again after I found the latest KDE announcement. With that said, I seem to see a lot of issues with firmware on the Pine, whilst the Librem is just plain out of budget for me. Was interested in how many people here run a Linux mobile as a daily driver, and how has your experience been?...
YouTube Ad-Blocker policy - Can it be explained by ad revenue numbers?
First, a disclaimer: I’m no expert, and I only know what is on these documents I linked. I haven’t read in-depth reporting by real investigative journalists, nor any reporting sourced or quoted from YT insiders (When I see articles about the ad-blocking, I knock wood that SmartTube is still working and keep scrolling, keen...

I'm currently downloading a show that is on a service to which I subscribe
I have a Galaxy Tab S7 and for a trip to Spain I downloaded some stuff to watch on the flight. When I got on the plane none of the stuff downloaded on Disney+ would play. Maybe an issue with downloading to the SD card? I don’t know, but regardless Disney offers SD card as a download destination so they should make sure it is...

How do y'all deal with programs not supported on Linux?
I’ve been seeing all these posts about Linux lately, and looking at them, I can honestly see the appeal. I’d love having so much autonomy over the OS I use, and customize it however I like, even having so many options to choose from when it comes to distros. The only thing holding me back, however, is incompatibility issues....

How does this coverage hold up? It was a fun read from back in my highschool days, when I was still five years from trying Linux on my own AMD Thunderbird 1Ghz. It wasn’t until 2008 that I tried again and it stuck.

I had no idea that you could download movies from the 90ies from archive.org (jeena.net)
I couldn’t find the Flintstones movie from 1994 anywhere but googling it I found it here archive.org/details/the-flintstones_202304 and you can either download it via torrent or directly. On top of it it says that the movie is CC0 which means Public Domain. But that can’t really be, it’s only 29 years old....
