It's funny how google pretends the music on YouTube isn't straight up piracy and everyone just goes along with it

Most people have extremely weird ideas of what’s considered piracy and what isn’t. Downloading a video game rom is piracy, but if you pay money to some Chinese retailer for an SD card containing the roms, that’s somehow not piracy. Exploiting the free trial on a streaming site by using prepaid visa cards is somehow not...

They pay rights holders, who supposedly pay artists.

Safe bet.

Historically, even the “lottery winning” successful artists got such bad deals. The Beatles (famously, I thought, but I’m having trouble finding a source today…) received one penny for every dollar earned, but a fraction of that penny was held back for marketing, and another, and another…

Was playing with KDE on live boot today and noticed WiFi took a long while after entering WiFi creds. Didn’t bother digging into why, though.

I'm currently downloading a show that is on a service to which I subscribe

I have a Galaxy Tab S7 and for a trip to Spain I downloaded some stuff to watch on the flight. When I got on the plane none of the stuff downloaded on Disney+ would play. Maybe an issue with downloading to the SD card? I don’t know, but regardless Disney offers SD card as a download destination so they should make sure it is...

The web version lists almost a dozen languages, but the Android TV version only shows locale-based, unfortunately.

How do you mean that its overheating? My GF says the same about her laptop, but its just cooling itself off. Does yours freeze or start slowing down a lot? Are you monitoring temps and see that they’re beyond your CPU acceptable range (usually 90C, IIRC)?

Mobaxterm is my favorite so far

Edit: didn’t mean to suggest a Windows-only tool.

I see this is a similar tool but haven’t a chance to try it until tomorrow

Source? I recall that they only changed their policy from “we will not comply with a request,” to, “we comply with lawful requests,” and the breach was about confidence, not showing they gathered data they claimed not to gather. They still maintain that they don’t log connection details, only payment and account creation, but the rewording of the policy at least implies that they could log more “if asked,” which does leave the user wondering.

Unless you know something I don’t…
