Sigh… Country used to be pretty good. Now that Nashville has discovered algorithms, they just churn out formulaic shit that sounds exactly alike.
Saw a 5-minute video a couple of years back. I think it was 5 of the (then) current country songs, blended one into the other. You could not tell where one cut off and the next picked up. Sounded like 5 singer collaborating on a single song.
Lots of cleaning advice, but let me add this bit: If you crack it open and use a can of air on it, unplug the CPU fan first. Super easy if you’ve gone that far.
Sounds like what I call Pretty Girl Syndrome. Pretty girls are never told no and are appalled when anyone does so. I can hardly hold it against them, it’s just the way life has been for them, but still.
Back in 2002 my manager was hosting his own little site on his home webserver. Shared it with all of us, and the company’s managers who were our sole source of income.
“So Jay, the Google search widget is pretty cool, but when I stary to type “a”, “Angelina Jolie porn” comes in the results. Who all you share this with?”
Meh, at least the blood diamond thing is dying fast and hard. Young people don’t give two shits about real diamonds, and neither do some of us old farts.
Hell, my finance and I are both 52 and the question of “real” diamonds never even came into play. We just got on Etsy and picked a couple of dope rings that we loved, ~$500 for both.
Disclaimer: Her ring appears to have real diamonds, but they’re tiny. For $260, for that ring, I’d say the price of diamonds has tanked.
LOL, when I moved to the South (American) people were stunned that I knew nothing about the SEC (regional college football conference) and didn’t have a favorite.
It was a big deal, for both men and women, around the office. Now that I’m at a software dev, people rarely comment, and only on their local team.
Medical topics become more and more important as we age. You never know when you might learn something helpful. “That happens to you too? And did the fix work?”
Hell, you might learn about something that doesn’t affect you, but you can pass it on. For example; Dad didn’t have hairy legsm but a guy in bootcamp showed him how to put on socks if you do. :)
That sort of talk disappears when you get older. People might briefly chat about their favorite whiskey or whatever, but they’re not having whole-ass conversations on the topic.
