I have never been able to watch something more than once. The only movie that I can watch more than once is Pacific Rim, because big robots and the story flows so well you don’t realize you’re already at the end of the movie.
But to be honest if the story gets good after 2 or 3 seasons the amount of people watching will still be smaller than the first season. I’ve been so turned off by the WoT series on Amazon, when people said the season 2 is better than season 1 I still didn’t have the energy to watch it.
IIRC the current plan is to secure a new source of funding. It might take years, but I think it’ll work out because the next novel is basically a time skip to a new arc with a new set of main characters.
But isn’t that like making excuses for yourself tho? I usually did the same as the parent commenter did. But if there’s an especially critical task that I cannot afford to ignore I use something like pomodoro timer to keep my attention span in check. Barring an external distraction – getting more of this as I’m getting more senior in my current work + kids when working remotely (ノಥ,_」ಥ)ノ彡┻━┻ – this method usually works.
It works, although you need to really stick to only working during the work time. I tried it when writing my thesis and miraculously I managed to work on it basically the whole day, from morning till night. Since then I’ve been using it sporadically when there’s an important work because for it to work for me I need to lock myself up so as to not get distracted by other people.
TBH it’s not really the end of the world. I remember the first one running like hot garbage on my PC. Granted maybe it was my shitty CPU being FX-8320 at that time.
On my machine I got around 40-70 with the default settings. For a city management game having a stable (meaning not crashing) game would be its first priority. Although I definitely see this as an early access release regardless of what CO is saying. So I played this on my Game Pass sub. My regional pricing for Game Pass is really good, as converted to the dollar is only tree fiddy. Although the minimum wage in my country is only 1/4 of the US so it all adds up to the same I guess.
That doesn’t make the criticisms invalid. But, there’s always an option to vote with your wallet by treating this release as an early access and not buying it with the current condition and with full price.
Most people lambasting the game makes it seem that they HAVE to buy the game with the current condition no matter what. Just file this game as a play in Game Pass or buy it next year when there’s a sale. If more people skip from buying the game at full price the devs will get the message and will try to release the game when the game is ready to be released like Larian.
I actually do this by buying recent Larian games (D:OS, D:OS2, & BG3) at day one or close to it after the review embargo is lifted (to see whether it’s worth buying or not) to reward them releasing their games in a complete state. Even BG3 had some issues with performance and cut content with their 3rd act.
Some intranet site developed with React + Angular + Vue + jQuery + during development the dev tried a lot of packages but didn’t delete the unused ones + no tree shaking + bundled all of the assets in the page
More like lifetime sentence because you still can view the content without the account, no? It’s not like they come into your house and took all your computing devices.
Use your experience to dominate them tactically. I found it when playing high TTK shooters like Overwatch 2 I can still hold my own against them young’uns.
I know the question is rather awkward at first and I am possibly overlooking something, but I would like to know something I really don’t understand....
Once in a blue moon I liked to prowl on the music review sites (ew, I know) and check out the artists featured there. Sometimes I found a couple of gems that I still listen to today.
Thankfully, I live within walking distance of my kids grandparents so I’ll chuck em to be with their grandpappys when I lie down on the bed sleeping like a log.
You don’t. If you live where cars are not needed, e.g. Tokyo, you’ll just walk to your nearest small grocer and get the ingredients you need. That’s what I did when I stayed in Japan for work.
Zakat? It’s only 2.5% (can be up to 20% depending on what school of thought you follow) and it’s not distributed to everyone. There’s only a subset of people who are eligible in receiving zakat so it’s not UBI.
Although there can be a lot of things that can make someone require to pay zakat, like income, wealth, business assets, and others.
