It’s nice to meet all you. I am she/her, can speak Toki Pona and English (non-natively), and locatable on Reddit as MozartWasARed. The links at discord.gg/sEuSSDz6TQ and deviantart.com/…/My-copyright-policy-and-the-impa… are pertinent to me.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

As much as I love Obelis’ comics (and her as a friend), for years she’s been going in circles with one serial that is her talking about childhood acceptance and two which have a rich world but with the same themes being rebrought up routinely. She knows this and jokes about it sometimes, and I’m not judging her as I know her reasons. I’m just saying any successful reason to change course would be enjoyed.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Aside from dictators (who are by definition very, very shitty people, but almost always have an art career for some reason), assuming actors don’t count as artists, I’d have to say the only example I can think of is Butch Hartman, not shitty because of his character but because he’s like the other JK Rowling.

To answer the second question, literally all the e-artists I’ve ever met, though art is relative enough I don’t feel like art can have a “negative” value. I trust they will never see this.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

For lifestyle reasons, my sense of dreaming is very, very weak and can only remember one time I went to a school I didn’t go to as the most surreal. To be fair it looked like Hogwarts though.

Tips on making your data less sellable?

A charity I’m volunteering for and a contractor I know insist I have a facebook account for contact reasons. Naturally I bought a separate device to use for that, but I was wondering if there were ways to make my data undesirable to potential buyers. So far I got the obvious tiennamen square posting and that gay putin pic, but...

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I don’t know, but I know I’m protected a little by being multilingual.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I do this sometimes. I have to pick carefully though, I’ve come to learn a large number of them aren’t trustworthy.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Being the size of an ant would make riding small helium balloons fun.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

What, really? I actually didn’t know this. By who though?

Follow up question: What if my initials are AMA?

shinigamiookamiryuu,

If other people participate in Daylight Savings Time and wonder why other people are going by the original time, that’s the participants’ problem.

Imagine living in a nation that boasts so many freedoms and yet we can’t even refuse to participate in a tradition that requires us to change our clocks.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

It’s hard to imagine there’s no culture in the world that would’ve adopted this as a practice.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I only played it to try it out, and it isn’t 100% in my range of games I’d care that much for, but I’ve gathered that Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (especially the first few pairs of games in the series) is the king when it comes to escapism. If someone said a psychologist made the games, I’d believe them.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Years ago I might’ve said something like school or overcoming my setbacks, but if that were the case, it’s less so now because my mind no longer squares the view that they’re challenges with the view or understanding that I would not wish many of the things I went through on anyone, if it ever did. Can you imagine going through things you were never meant to go through while people watch silently and measure your self-worth based on your success in endurance as if to imply the moments that haunt you forever were all a game and one you wanted to play?

shinigamiookamiryuu,

It’s difficult to explain if you’re not in their cultural atmosphere reading the room (in my case I have family from there). Outsiders can currently see propaganda show-offs going on, India is maneuvering thought in favor of Israel (one might say going against previous sympathies in the process) while Pakistan is covertly one of the strongest sympathizers of Palestine. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it’s the subtleties in the expressions that would raise the first alarms if an outsider begged for hints that something is about to erupt. I’d give it one to three years.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

The closest I come is “Calgon, take me away.”

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Knotty because of how complicated I come off as.

Why wasn't NYC's Central Park concept copied by other cities?

I’m talking about a massive park in the absolute heart of the city. Located such that is naturally surrounded by city high rises. *People are giving examples of parks that are way off in the boonies. I’m trying to say located centrally, heart of the city, you know where the high rises are. Yes I understand nyc has more, the...

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I don’t know about other cities, but the ones I’ve lived near were simply too irregularly shaped. NYC was able to be built like a grid, but a city like, say, Buffalo (go Bills!) is both too wibbly wobbly as well as too cold to envision a park being used as a centerpiece.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

My job and hobbies would both be affected, and I would be stuck in the middle of nowhere. Maybe a month.
