Every time I hear about Brexit I’m reminded how 17 million people directly fucked up my ability to be part of something just to spite themselves. If you don’t want to be part of something then just take yourself and leave, don’t drag everyone else out too.
I looked at some of the files in that game and experienced severe pain. Did you know the audio log objects take up like 7gb because the assets are copied in their entirety for each notebook page. So instead of sharing textures for the parts of the notebook each page has its own complete book material in unnecessary resolution. Also pretty sure the audio could be squished down more. Anyway that’s just one small part of it. The maps are insanely big in terms of disk size.
Really interesting read about the history of YouTube adblocking, how the new detection works, how uBO is responding, and how not to block the new popups.
I don’t think that’s really comparable, a parent isn’t being paid, a babysitter can choose not to babysit. And besides, it really depends on what the kid’s asking to do. I’ve definitely been told I can’t do things when I was being babysat.
Yeah, when I was at uni I’d bike for almost all my shopping trips, the only bad one was when I decided it would be a great idea to not get a set of weights delivered
I finally got round to listening to a bunch of 40k stuff, I’ve read some in the past but not a lot and it’s been a while. I started with the ciaphas cain series, it’s somewhat comedic at times and the main character reluctantly gets into situations thanks to his heroic reputation. Lots of fun. Now I’ve been going through a bunch of Dan Abnett’s stuff, eisenhorn and gaunt’s ghosts. They both take themselves a lot more seriously. There’s like 11 cain books and 16? Gaunt’s ghosts books. It’s all down to preference but I’ve been enjoying the guard-focused books a lot.
