I feel like I’d have to put at least some Parmesan on top.

Also, squib!

"Gashouse eggs" is the one I've heard most. Nice Great Depression-era ring to it.

Like, a motor.... The State of Arkansas would pay you for a novel execution device though.

For some types of posts that's fine - the capybara community, for instance, is a steady stream of capybaras from reddit (I think) and that's not the type of post that needs interaction with OP or comments. Posts from say, tech support, very inappropriate to copy to Lemmy imo without a link back and an explanation as it might get a conversation going but it also confuses people who think their response might be seen by the OP.

It's something a lot of members had in common when that was most popular... reddit experience and Splez angst.

Not surprising. I've been watching various relationship and psychology videos on YouTube and ran into a few which seem really sketchy... they're very well written in English, all the imagery is people in Malaysia or something, it seems to be read by an AI, and there's no writing attribution. Kind of suspicious.

I looked it up and it's almost 4 hours long. I'll be getting around to that I guess...

Yeah, the articles about this explain how there was a multi day rescue effort, several people were so traumatized they never wanted to cave again, one rescuer got smashed in the face with a pulley that came out of the ceiling, and the cave ended up being sealed with concrete. It was known as an easy cave though and the rescuers weren’t otherwise in danger.

I’m not sure how Roy Furr would feel about that. I wish I could find a photo of some old guy from the 60s to link but apparently it’s also the name of an Internet marketing person.

My favorite dumb Dr. name was "Dr. Furr's" from Furr's supermarkets in the 80s

My ex and I were the same age and totally different on this. I open tabs, close them, don’t leave any open long term. She’d have Safari open with dozens or hundreds as far as I could tell. But I operate like an older millennial and she has the sensibilities of a boomer - TV on 18 hours a day, etc

I've burnt the fuck out of a tortilla in the broiler, it's true

By putting it inside a turkey or just somehow with stuffing?

squiblet,
@squiblet@kbin.social avatar

Yeah, it's fallen out of fashion because if you leave it there overnight especially bacteria can grow in it. Well, sorry to hear that. I like making homemade stuffing but I just bake it in a pan... i guess that's called dressing.

It's like fried chickpea patties or nuggets. Sort of like if you made fried hummus bread. Super good with tzatsiki (yogurt/cucumber) or tahini (sesame) sauce. Sometimes it's served in a pita with lettuce, tomatoes and sprouts.

Seems like there a couple of tech support communities already like that. Endless posts all made by different accounts from the same instance, constantly asking for help with Apple products or wifi 24/7.

Some people cook good food, some don’t. I’ve made homemade stuffing dozens of times. A couple of times it was too dry, or too wet and was gummy, or over seasoned. I learned from those and definitely prefer the stuffing I make to any mix.

I have actually done that… well, I had a medical problem with swallowing and I was making shakes of all kinds of savory foods. Sorta like smooth soups… chicken and broth, roast beef with rice and potatoes, beans with salsa and cilantro… pretty good actually. I kinda miss the chicken milk.

Hmm, I need to be careful next time I make someone watch The Prisoner.

Racism means being negatively prejudiced or bigoted against people of various races and ethnicities.
It can be an individual thing, but is also used often to mean institutional racism, as in a society that is constructed or functions in a way to disadvantage people of particular races compared to others.

With a new band you never know. It could be a low, murky graaar like Immolation or Bolt Thrower… or a higher pitch like most Entombed (I prefer Clandestine where some bassist from another band sang, but most people don’t, for some reason). Or it could be like Deicide where the singer is mainly good then they cheapen it with this cheesy high pitched thing…. Carcass where the singer is h medium pitched and sounds good, then they also have a low guttural voice thrown in here and there, which was alright. Or maybe all is well and it’s the perfect Morbid Angel vocals.

Tumblr sure has a fucked up threading format.

Anyway, that’s a normal amount of beef if there were other toppings. For a pizza with nothing else you’d probably want to specify super-extra beef.

My 48yr old unopened bottle of beer. (Circa 1975) (i.imgur.com)

I saw the String cheese post so I thought I’d share my own “slightly beyond best before date” consumable. I used to have two of them that I had found in my attic under some insulation, but the other one froze in my garage and broke open. (No, it did NOT smell pleasant. I’m pretty sure whatever vile liquid is in that...

Some beers are bottle conditioned, but generally liquor, wine and beer are aged in barrels and don't continue to mature in the bottle.
