stepanzak,

Month ago I had to use an official python script to connect to my high school’s wifi. It was a simple dialog gui though.

stepanzak,

In many cases that’s true, although we probably can’t do anything about it when companies refuse to support Linux ¯_(ツ)_/¯

stepanzak,

atuin is similar to mcfly but IMO better.

stepanzak,

Navi is kinda similar to cheat but it has some cool features like shell widget and tmux widget.

My First Regular Expressions

I’ve been reading Mastering Regular Expressions by Jeffrey E.F. Friedl, and since nobody in my life (aside from my wife) cares, I thought I’d share something I’m pretty proud of. My first set of regular expressions, that I wrote myself to manipulate the text I’m working with....

stepanzak,

It works fine for me, it’s just unnecessary argument AFAIK.

stepanzak,

I’m not sure about the exact commands, but you do something like gh auth login to authenticate the CLI and then something like gh ssh setup to change ssh’s config file to authorize using the GH CLI.

stepanzak,

I highly recommend topgrade. You can add custom commands so clearing paru’s cache shouldn’t be a problem. I just do it by hand as I’m ok with it.

stepanzak, (edited )

Paru cache is huge and you have to delete it manually with something like paru -Sc i think

stepanzak,

I tried AM some time ago, and I was extremely confused about the documentation and how to use it. I even watched a YouTube video from DistroTube on how to use it, but I still couldn’t figure it out. I don’t exactly remember the issues, though, and I hope it’s better now.

I made it to Linux! What is your must-have FOSS or Free Software for linux?

Thank you so much, comrades! I am feeling pretty comfortable with linux mint, and now would like some suggestions for some absolutely necessary FOSS or free license software for the OS. So far I have the standard, Firefox, ThunderBird, LibreOffice, yada yada. Thank you again to everyone on the linux comm! sankara-salute

stepanzak,

What? It’s literary in my comment.

stepanzak,

I know about Zellij, but in its current state, I think it doesn’t make sense for me to switch. I really lobe my Tmux setup, and I don’t think I would be able to replicate it on Zellij, mainly because of Tmux plugins I use. I also don’t think that Zellij currently has any advantages over Tmux except for better default config and user friendliness that I don’t need. I’m looking forward to the Zellij ecosystem getting better tho. Some day, I will probably make the switch. The WASM tabs feature looks extremely promising!

stepanzak,

Please see my responses to the responses to my comment. I agree it’s 100% within the author’s rights, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a shitty move.

stepanzak,

Sorry, English isn’t my first language and I’m not entirely sure what do you mean by that.

stepanzak,

I get it now. Thanks for the explanation!

stepanzak,

Yes, but people find this interesting because historically, Microsoft was actively trying to destroy Linux (look up Halloween documents) and even said that Linux is cancer.
