2024 is the Year of Linux on the Desktop, at least for my boyfriend. He’s running Windows 7 right now, so I’ll be switching him to Ubuntu in a few days. Ubuntu was chosen because Proton is officially supported in Ubuntu.
Yes, but you are the one who started to talk about a software switch. So obviously you were not aware of the fact that there are hardware switches. Or you just wanted to troll.
I pay for Spotify for 7 years or so now and i'm so sick of all the ads. After every update there seems to be an: oops, sorry, you have ads now. Podcasts are filled with ads. I was just listening to a podcast where they shoved in 3 ads mid-sentence. How long until musicians put ads in their songs. I'm just so sick of it.

There is a difference between the display name (Wolf Link) and the handle (@justlookingfordragon ) the display name is initially, by default, the first part of the handle, as it is with your account. But you can change it. If you are linking the user, you have to use the handle, which is unique.
Voyager seems to ignore the display name and just displays the first part of the handle on its own. Which is indeed kind of confusing.
And I am from eben another instance and can also comment here. But I could also create a new post in other instances without the bed for an account there

I see. Yes. In that case your first post was indeed very poorly worded. I got the impression that you were against this being posted here because you thought that it would not count as cooking.
Good morning, English isn’t my first language and it happens quie often that I need to select a good chunk of text to translate it with DeepL, why, in often cases, is impossible but select the title of an article that Lemmy’s bot has summarised? I would appreciate, and I am pretty confident I am not the only one, if the...
