Capitalism is concerned with individual ownership.

So USA is not capitalism? Because it is country with most anti-individual and anti-ownership practices.

Then explain patent trolls and general “you will own nothing and pay for it”.

Looked at it. It seems GNOME are doing dirty hacks, since AFAIK they don’t have tearing control in their compositor.

And game fps is not directly translated to perceived performance on wayland. For example in Xonotic 90-95 fps on wayland feel laggy, but if enable glFinish, I’ll get 80 fps in same area, but game will feel much better. But it causes game to run in 20-30 fps in places and cause more lag there, where it would run 30-60. For context runnung game in X11 without glFinish gets me 110 fps in same area, which feel like 110 fps. Running game in kmsdrm gets me 120 fps in same area.

AFAIK DKIM/DMARC now is mandatory on most servers.

But it’s also pretty much impossible to guarantee that your e-mail will not be sent over plain text.

GPG. Or other E2EE.

to send e-mails portraying as one of my teachers to take the piss of my friends and hence knew at least some of the protocol

Nowdays client-server and server-server communication is ecrypted and signed, so no an issue now.

not necessarilly in your country working under local laws

Scary part when they do

You didn’t say you wanted database for warehouse inventory managment. In that case paper only useful for storing append-only logs or taking snapshots.

Both of course, but landlines are low hanging fruit.

Also neither DKIM / SPF provide any protections if an attacker is able to poison DNS records.

Neither TLS provide in such case. Attacker can request ACME cert.

if you live in a coubtry next to those guys

What if I live in country WITH those guys? Using phone is less safe(as in police knocking down your door) than sending unencrypted email.

If you live next to those guys, you will be surprised how insecure phone networks are.

most dangerously your password to access your e-mail

Are we talking about client-server or server-server?

No, only citizens. Male or doctors.

Hey, there are already too many idiots presidents in my country, I don’t need more.

On the other note, speaker of our parlamemt says Putin worth a lot, but I can give him with huge discount for free if you choose self-pickup option.

In some biggest country traffic lights FSM looks like this: red->red+yellow->green->blinking green->yellow->red, and can transition to blinking yellow from any state.

Supports a lot of architectures.

I can only see x86 and ARM though. Where MIPS? PPC32BE? And I’m not even asking for some obscure architectures like SuperH.

Try playing Xonotic. It is FPS that runs natively and on dualcore celeron with iGPU it gives 60 fps on ultra and 120 on default. It runs mostly in single thread and you are likely to be GPU-bound.

Do you know any other distro that’s not LFS or Gentoo that still supports x86?

You guessed it:

But also OpenWRT.

Most distros don’t support anything below 64-bits.

How to they even support early raspis?

uis,
@uis@lemmy.world avatar

What? I have it on my MIPS router.

uis,
@uis@lemmy.world avatar

Not that stripped down. AFAIK you can even install X server and GUI on it.

Gentoo on desktop, gentoo on Rock64, gentoo on Allwinner A10 device, gentoo on Powerbook G4(don’t ask why I have it). Ah, and OpenWRT on router.
