Often the best explanations on things like electronics are in old unclassified training films you may find on archive.org and YouTube. Those have been pretty useful.
I have a few memories that could be it, but they have no timestamps. I don’t know how early they are. Could be me sitting on potty in living room in the doorway, looking at TV where my dad was reading something on Telext of channel 1 (recognizable by the orange bar on top).
Why did this not come to my head. My idea was to use video capture card, connect that to another computer or phone, set screens to mirror and then take snapshot of the video.
No, I am 17 which means I still have to live with parents and among other issues my mom doesn’t allow me to have access to my clothes. So, if I want some, I have to ask. In the end, I can get fresh underwear daily, but the rest only weekly, which isn’t exactly optimal.
Oh, and we don’t have a functional washing machine for years, so it’s not like I could just keep some of my clothes away from her.
I currently have a printer, also HP, but an old one (20 years).
When I’ll finally need a new printer, I’ll be deciding between HP and Brother. I am not sure about Linux support with Brother printers. I heard it’s great, but I need to search more. I know HPLIP works well, but I also heard these new HP printers don’t last long. Then there’s also the thing called HP+ (not to be confused with Instant Ink) that many of those printers have, which REQUIRES HP account AND a connection to internet.
Your words struck a chord with me, and I find myself nodding in agreement. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you’ve said. It’s refreshing to hear such a clear and well-articulated take on “this”. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
