I think it is unusual. As a software engineer who has a large circle of friends, loads of them know I use Linux, but literally no one cares or is curious about knowing more. And honestly I’m not interested in explaining. We talk about and do other things lol. I sometimes talk about differences and news about both with those who have jobs or interests closer to the IT business, and we have a short conversation about those news, but nobody asks me about Linux, and especially not Windows. It’s not interesting.
How do you mean that? I’ve been using X11 for like 17 years. i3 uses X11, and I will most likely not use another WM if I can help it. It’s perfect for me. X11 is available in the core repositories of all the big distros.
Apparently anything with Super GT where he’s playing in the video and talking over it (most of his videos) is very effective sleep material. From experience (not on purpose, I was actually watching but fell asleep; happened many times), but also I found out in a video that he said his viewers have commented that they use his videos as sleep aid.
Please enjoy. I have no affiliation with him, FYI.
If we didn’t use parentheses in primary school, because “the math doesn’t need it”, then it would be quite unnecessarily hard on the students’ learning. Maybe it’s a joke someone made for a class?
I find the whole thing insane. It basically ignores the fact that behavior is fluid. Traits are individual and fluid. Humor is fluid. Everything about our behavior is fluid. You can be “camp af” and still be straight, and “butch af” and still be gay. And that’s just scratching the surface.
I’d rather click a button that installed everything to the right place than relying on myself to drag a single thing to a specific folder. Opening a folder first and having to drag is… a drag. That’s my opinion.
I mean, I have no qualms with this, unless there are bugs and stuff waiting to be resolved. But I’ve not run into anything at all. I’m guessing the dev has other things going on in life and looking to make Sync sort of a passive income kind of project. I respect that. They might be working quite hard to make ends meet and do this in their spare time, however much that might be. I’d gladly drop the ad removal money if I thought the app was worth it. Which I’m starting to think. It was when it was for Reddit, but in those days it was cheaper.
Actually, there is one bug I’m experiencing. Ads will not load. There is just an empty square where an ad would be. But… I’m calling that a feature.
