You seem like you’re getting offended.

I’m just trying to understand how to relate to the post in any way. I just don’t understand how. I’d like to understand what your thoughts are while posting this. That’s all. 🤷‍♂️ I don’t mean any harm.

Let’s face it, pizza is an open face sandwich.

victorz, to memes in Sorry guys, we had a good run

People weren’t hoarding toilet paper because they thought it affected their bowels – they were hoarding it because who knew what might happen where we’d have to stay at home or be isolated for a long time.

What’s strange is, why toilet paper and not much else lol. At least where I lived. I wasn’t hoarding, I was just trying to get some at the store because we were running out completely, and the shelves were empty. 💀 Had to buy some non-bulk expensive and fragile af paper.

Why is it going to be garbage? Add more size to the hardware?

Can recommend Arch as a gaming platform OS. Works well with Steam. It’s what the Steam Deck is built on. 👍

For example that producing and shipping the pure amount of mass corresponding to the same amount of nutrition in vegan foods vs dairy/meat products is not sustainable, because plant based foods contain so much less nutrition than animal products. You have to level and destroy forest habitats to grow all these things for 10,000,000,000 people… That’s an infant amount of plants.

And a lot of foods that claim to be “good sources of protein” don’t really… contain much else, like meat does. Some are even harmful in large quantities like too much soy in your diet, especially to children.

I dunno, these are things I’ve been told. Just the messenger so take with a grain of salt. But I thought they were interesting points that shouldn’t be ignored and should be disproven before dismissed. I just have too much going on in my life to worry about researching it right now. 😓 But one day maybe!

What do you think? I think this topic is definitely more complicated than “let’s fix/save the world by going vegan”.

Absolutely insufferable. Both of them.

victorz, to lemmyshitpost in Just noticed that you can also picture this emoji 😢 with closed eyes on top and nose dripping and now I cannot unsee it

Really struggling to see that with the Noto emoji set on Android, or even the Apple emoji set. I can’t do it.

A deep dish pizza and a calzone are both technically pies as far as I can tell. They have a surrounding casing of crust. A flat pizza would not be a pie.

victorz, to asklemmy in What's something you'd like to leave behind in the old year and not carry into the new year?

Thank you for that. You’re a good person.

Much love. ❤️ Take care in 2024!

victorz, to foodporn in Chicago style deep dish pizza

Mmmyyyeeeeh. Wikipedia page for Pie says otherwise from what I can see? It needs to have some sort of filling, and the crust needs to be a type of casing, whether a cover/top casing or bottom casing, or both. The only mention of pizza that I can see is a link to the page for Chicago style pizza like here, as well as calzone, which both seem to fit the definition of a pie as described.

I’ll stretch to concede that this style of pizza is both a bastardized pizza and a pie, by modern/conventional standard. But not all pizzas are pies. Good compromise.
