victorz,

Definitely looks more like a pie than a pizza. Wonder what an Italian would say.

victorz,

Aren’t ordinary “flat” pizzas also sometimes called “pizza pies”? Also seems incorrect.

victorz,

Yeah I’ve seen some purist Italians talk about pizza on YouTube. Definitely very different (and more tasty) than the pizza I make at home with my family. 😅 Wish I had a stone oven or even room for one of those small modern ovens, to make good pizza in.

victorz,

Mmmyyyeeeeh. Wikipedia page for Pie says otherwise from what I can see? It needs to have some sort of filling, and the crust needs to be a type of casing, whether a cover/top casing or bottom casing, or both. The only mention of pizza that I can see is a link to the page for Chicago style pizza like here, as well as calzone, which both seem to fit the definition of a pie as described.

I’ll stretch to concede that this style of pizza is both a bastardized pizza and a pie, by modern/conventional standard. But not all pizzas are pies. Good compromise.

I seed until 1.0, but no more. Or as much required by the private tracker I’m a member of, or more if I seem to gain a lot of ratio. Am I bad?

victorz,

In my defense, if it were ever necessary, I’m planning on getting a setup where I have some sort of NAS + Pi thing that together forms a seedbox and Plex media server. Right now my desktop PC has both jobs. Poor thing has been running basically nonstop since 2020.

victorz,

Holy crap the detailed analysis which has no relevance to the punchline 😆 Love the internet ❤️

victorz,

Out of curiosity, what decade were you born? I understand if you don’t want to divulge. Sorry if it’s an intrusive question.

victorz, (edited )

Priorities. You want to be lit and forget the whole thing like a chump or do you want a sick story like the champ you replied to? Sounded like they had an awesome day and night and got a bunch of fun shit done.

victorz,

Excellent warning. Might want to order very early in the day and reheat if necessary, if it’s good enough/worth it.

Welp, too late now.

victorz,

Sync for Lemmy ❤️

victorz,

Had to scroll a while to find you guys. Thanks for noticing!

victorz,

LinkedIn is pretty good, for finding work. I’ve gotten a lot of offers there. Ultimately never took any of them, ironically, but worth the time to set up a good profile.

If you’re thinking of joining Facebook… Don’t. It’s not worth it. Tell people you have something else and give them that info. Like your phone number or your email or your WhatsApp/telegram/whatever.

I hate how I have Facebook and am so dependent on it. I wish I could tell people I don’t have it.

victorz,

[Palpatine: Do it.]

I haven’t scrolled Facebook in over a decade I think. But nobody interesting posts on Facebook in my feed so I’m not too bothered. Instagram is good to me. Giving me only like comics and skits and stuff from people I follow, and things similar to what I enjoyed before like certain sports etc. I’d gladly jump Facebook if I could find my friends elsewhere. I wish Messenger wasn’t connected to a Facebook account. 😞

victorz,

Me when it’s been a couple weeks.

victorz,

You sweet summer child. Yes, of course I meant I haven’t peed. 🥹❤️

victorz,

Haven’t seen this copy pasta in a few months. Great stuff…

victorz,

If you’re not already, you could be a motivational speaker with them words. ✊

victorz,

That’s interesting. Is it easily preventable?

victorz,

I meant on the part of the host. Would it be easily preventable on the server if the ports weren’t blocked by the ISP?

victorz,

That’s a shame.

victorz,

Thank you for that detailed reply. You have far greater needs than I do. 😊

It would be cool to do all these things and self-host. One day I’ll get there, in life.

victorz,

Very anecdotal. 🤷‍♂️

victorz, (edited )

It’s not a shame because of the amount of people we know, or how many people there are in total, that want to self-host email. It’s about the fact that it’s so difficult to set up, and hard to secure. I just wish it were simpler and more secure by default so that more people could roll their own and break free from ad-ridden and privacy-invading email services. 👍
