there are ways to get gpay to work. also you may have more luck with lineageos and full system install of official, proprietary google services instead of graphene (but of course you’ll be sacrificing your privacy)

my toilet in rented apartment doesn’t have a lid

@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

the drawer was pretty convinient but didn’t work with server folders that well…
also the fullscreen channel list didn’t look good.
the current “new” ui is a nice middle ground

vox, to memes in venture capitalism goes brrr
@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

yeah much easier to reach.
the new ui is buggy but that’s obviously not intentional

tbf /dev/mem is mapped to physical memory, access to most of which is completely denied by the memory controller in the cpu (while it’s in usermode), no matter rhe access level

vox, (edited ) to privacy in Best way to get private phone number?
@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

you can make a google account without a phone number by using an android 4 device.
also what i nean is you can just get a sim card from a normal carrier or any reseller (go with resellers if possible, like small kiosks/grocery stores that resell sim card boxes).
This may not work in countries sith mandatory id verification for phone numbers tho

vox, (edited ) to asklemmy in What country are you using lemmy from?
@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

Poland (I’m from Ukraine, in here to study)

linux has the same gile ownership system, maybe even less advanced than windows (windows file perms are unnecessarily convoluted)

vox, (edited ) to asklemmy in What Linux OS & Desktop Environment (DE) or Windows Manager (WM) do you use?
@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

Windows
but used to be on Gnome Wayland, Arch
why did i go back? temporarily, just wanted to try out new windows stuff in windows 11, they actually improved the os quite a lot (package manager is a nice bonus feature).
Still going to return to linux eventually, probably to KDE 6 on Arch or Debian Sid once it’s released and stable

vox, (edited ) to linuxmemes in the main differences!!
@vox@sopuli.xyz avatar

it doesn’t suck balls that deep on 768p, but you’ll be basically working with one fullscreen app per desktop
